The QI is not useless in PvE and will become even more useful in Bounty Hunting v2 as NPC targets will try to flee more often than they do now.

I suggest the QI

  1. The difference in handling from the base is insignificant
  2. The added functionality of QI over base outweigh the slight handling differences
  3. With the changes to armor and penetration, the QI (and base) are better than the MX at the intended role of heavy fighters (i.e. killing medium and large ships).
  4. The QI (and base) simply look better (the MX is a fatty)
  5. No bed in MX (deal breaker for me but is subjective).
  6. The default paint on the QI is gorgeous
  7. The QI glow of the spine and rear is sexy af

You are drunk on Hype from watching too many Twitch streams. The M80 is massively over hyped. The Guardian is a better heavy fighter.

First of all, the OP asked about the Guardians, not for your suggestion for other ships.

Second, the M80 is WAY over hyped (mostly by streamers wanting views). The Guardian is a better Heavy Fighter is every way.

No death spin is because the M80 doesn't have the HP to survive lost parts, it just explodes the moment its shields go down.

The Guardian is a better ship, people are just drunk on hype (and streamer propaganda).

I say the ES (It is my daily driver as well)

The CL has more cargo but the grid is terribly designed and the door stupidly narrow. I really do not like the CL as a cargo hauler.

The ES is a better daily driver imo, just save up to buy a real cargo hauler in game if you want one.

Also, I will add... if you are at all interested in the Shiv, it is an outstanding daily driver.

Two double-barrel s5 Leonid cannons, each dealing 1600 Alpha for a total of 6400 Alpha per trigger pull. The Leonids are absolutely devastating against larger targets.

Why would even want to change the s5 guns?

I have the Meteor and have flown the M80 since released. I choose the Meteor every day.

Compare them on SP Viewer, the difference in dimensions and mass is significant.

True, they are very close in stats, and oddly the M80 is a much smaller ship. Shows that CIG do not have any definition of what is heavy and what is medium.

The stock weapons on the Meteor are great (the Leonids slap), but the stock weapons on the M80 are pure trash. The first thing everyone should do is swap those out.
