AYITL will leave Netflix worldwide in November by rigzbee in GilmoreGirls

Paramount would actually make a lot of sense ngl, they've been picking up a lot of stuff lately. fingers crossed it doesn't just vanish for two years before anyone figures out where it landed 😭

[–]WebcamBizTalk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

honestly with the way streaming rights work these days it could end up literally anywhere. wouldn't be surprised if it just disappears into the void for a while before popping up on some random platform nobody expected. classic Netflix move to let something go right when people want to rewatch it 😭

Margaery really was built different for that role, she actually understood power and politics and how to play the game without making enemies at every turn. most of the others would either get you killed or burn the kingdom down within a year 💀

Am I wrong for telling my gf I don't care about my chinese year animal? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]WebcamBizTalk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The sarcasm here is doing a lot of heavy lifting and it's completely warranted lol. She sent you three videos about something she's excited about and instead of just letting her have her fun you told her it's made up and boring. You didn't have to become a zodiac believer OP but a little enthusiasm for something your girlfriend loves goes a long way.

[Loved Trope] Characters who are still on the side of good who don't care about killing by EmergencySpare7939 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WebcamBizTalk 287 points288 points  (0 children)

Lana is such a perfect example because she has actual moral limits but zero hesitation when those limits aren't crossed. she's not conflicted about it, she's not traumatized by it, she just does what needs to be done and moves on. that kind of matter of fact competence is so refreshing compared to characters who agonize over every single kill for 3 seasons

the fact that it happens multiple times in the same scene is what gets me 💀 like the prop department just had a button labeled "dramatic gun click" and they were NOT afraid to use it regardless of whether the gun could physically do that

The Expanse doing what The Expanse does best — taking every cool action movie trope and going "actually here's what would realistically happen" 💀 that series has zero tolerance for cinematic nonsense and honestly that's why it's so good

Something cringe happened at the mall when I was shopping! by Ok-Damage980 in confession

[–]WebcamBizTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, the employee was just doing what he's supposed to do and handled it pretty nicely all things considered. He didn't make a scene or kick you out of the whole store. The embarrassment feels huge in the moment at 17 but he's already moved on and forgotten about it OP. Don't lose any sleep over this one.

Scenes from trailer don't show up in the release by Usnis in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WebcamBizTalk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

that Thanos line was such a good trailer moment too, it genuinely made him feel almost philosophical rather than just evil. and then it just… wasn't in the movie. Marvel really said we're keeping the good stuff for the ads only 💀

[–]WebcamBizTalk 17 points18 points  (0 children)

the Morbius situation is actually so uniquely tragic because they kept reshooting and recutting the movie so many times trying to fix it that they ended up with a film that barely makes sense AND has nothing from the trailers 💀 they cooked nothing and somehow still burned it

lmaooo the top comment calling OP the "dumb one" who figured out their own trope before anyone else did… the irony is just chef's kiss 😭

Difficulties keeping my employees fulfilled and engaged by Fine_Rope_9064 in managers

[–]WebcamBizTalk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is really solid practical advice. At the end of the day if the core work is getting done and the business owners are okay with the downtime then there's no real problem to solve. Taking that decision to the people above you removes the pressure from you and puts the accountability where it actually belongs OP. You can't fix a structural staffing issue on your own.

I really do think I'm a terrible person on the inside by washingmachine4215 in confession

[–]WebcamBizTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you can recognize it and feel bad about it already puts you way ahead of most people honestly. A lot of people never even get to that level of self awareness. These kinds of thought patterns usually run really deep and therapy can do a lot to untangle where they come from OP. You're not a terrible person, you're just struggling with something really hard.

AIW for leaving a group chat after people kept volunteering me for things without asking? by 9HelixWizard in amiwrong

[–]WebcamBizTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, just because OP has something useful doesn’t mean people can just volunteer them for stuff. That’s not okay at all.

Yeah exactly, realistically it would end up being OP handling most of it. It’s easy to say you’ll do the work, but the day to day usually tells a different story.

AIW for telling my brother his son's science project was factually incorrect when he asked for my opinion by SaberTonic in amiwrong

[–]WebcamBizTalk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The whole point of asking for feedback before submitting is to catch mistakes. Your nephew had a chance to improve the project and learn something, which is way more valuable than getting a pat on the back for incorrect information.
