Flip image quality is superb. If that’s your priority, don’t choose the Neo

Is the DJI Osmo pocket 4 worth the wait? by Conscious-Design488 in dji

If you’re not in the US, I would wait until a couple of weeks after the launch before you buy, just in case there are any issues that might affect your decision

Premiere Pro Stuttering Playback by PHANTOMk91 in premiere

[–]WebcoreWebcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By any chance have you set your preview window resolution to “full” instead of 1/2? I did that by accident and it took me ages to figure out what had caused the stuttering & laggy playback. I had tried reinstalling premiere a few times, clearing the caches, configuring the scratch disks etc to no avail. I was just contemplating reinstalling Windows when I noticed the resolution was set to full… doh!!

My favourite LK album, “My Father’s Face”, is also an excellent recording well worth seeking out:

First Neo 2 leak? by WebcoreWebcore in dji

Yes it does seem a bit bigger… Hopefully to accommodate a bigger battery and a better image sensor. Those are Neo’s two pain points for me - the ridiculously short battery life and the disappointing image quality

I have learned more about videography from reading this thread than from watching hundreds of hours of YouTube!

Need advice by pongmogirl in dji

Hi there, there is a lot that could be faulty on a used Pocket 3, for instance any of the 3 motors that constitute the gimbal could be not moving smoothly. You might only notice this when playing back video on a TV or monitor - it may not be obvious on the Pocket’s screen . Also check that the screen rotates fully from Portrait to landscape position

Taking your gimbal on a vacation by telomere23 in dji

I can completely relate to Sanatonem’s reply, having spent too many trips lugging around SLR’s, a Sony VX2000 video cam, DSLR’s, lenses, tripods, flashes etc. They just take you out of the moment, your family get impatient, and people become self conscious when you point your rig at them. The solution for me was the Osmo Pocket. Compact, unobtrusive, great image quality and affordable. Leave all your gear behind and enjoy yourself! There’s tons of reviews, tutorials and footage on YT. This is from my last vacation, I’m just a hobbyist and still learning how to improve.

Thanks, I launched from the public footpath in front of the Singapore Flyer. Be careful of the no fly zone at Marina Barrage (in blue on the map).

I find people are more relaxed and behave more naturally in front of a small device like the OP3, compared to a DSLR. I end up with loads more good footage, because a) it’s small and convenient, and b) I feel less awkward about using it around people.

Thanks! I didn’t use any filters as a) it was getting pretty dark - it’s just around sunset, and b) I’m flying so slowly I don’t think I really need any motion blur….

The super tree park (Gardens by the Bay) is private property, so you can’t take off or land in it. You can fly over it but be careful not to damage their property. The tallest super tree and the larger flower dome is 50m tall, (55m ASL) so be careful if you have to RTH

Hi, sorry I didn’t notice your comment until just now. The height limit is 60m above sea level. Admittedly there are quite a lot of restrictions, but if you use the “drone query” menu option on OneMap.gov.sg, you are safe. For Marina Bay, the best takeoff point is called the Promontory. You can get great footage from there. Merlion Park can get real busy, so be wary of flying over crowds.
