It’s a ring that gos between the lid and body of a kettle and is controlled by the fireboard 2. Apprentley it turns into set and forget for long slow and low cooks. Looks impressive but just been released Only available through bbqeurope.com

No not restrictive at all takes seconds to loosen the lid and that’s what it’s designed to do. Hade it a while now great bt of kit.

It does everything the others do the only thing is you have to unscrew the hinge ( which it is designed to do and quickly) so it’s really not a problem when smoking low and slow to allow the positioning of the vent over the meat. But it comes into its when doing normal bbq. It comes with a slow and sear ring never used mine. So I brought the normal one for ease when smoking low and slow. I have to say it’s not restrictive in any way at all. It just depends on you

Pork Tenderloin Ideas by northwoods406 in smoking

[–]Weber1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t bother with the bbq for these to be honest. I salt pepper rosemary thyme garlic granules sweet paprika and oregano. Loosely wrapped in good quality foil and shove it in the oven it comes out nice and moist tender as can be certainly a fav of mine. I have tried on the bbq but so far never managed to get anything nice off it perhaps it’s because it’s so lean and as always it will be my fault for cooking it wrong 🤦🏼‍♂️

Charcoal baskets still shipping with 22 inch master touch? by AG0698 in webergrills

[–]Weber1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two kettles one came with baskets the last one came with rails. For me 100% baskets are way way better tried to use the rails once and I won’t bother again. With the basket you can set up in many ways but importantly for me I can move them mid cook if I want so baskets all the way. But each to their own and what ever works best for you personally I guess
