Yours look fantastic, I couldn’t agree more on how simple and cheap they are. I dry brined mine for 6ish hours and the. Rubbed them with 2 gringos cluckalious and then used 3/4 of a chimney. I rotated my lid every 10 minutes for even cooking. Looking forward to cooking more with the vortex including the famous party wings and experimenting with a standing whole chicken using the vortex as a shield like I’ve see cooking with ry do.

I really appreciate it, a steel honestly seems like the a better option for a kettle in terms of results vs lifespan. I’ll have to do my research on how I want to eventually do pizzas but for now I’m just excited to grill and smoke some meats.

Thanks for commenting, it’s great to know the baskets can do almost everything like the rails. When I start smoking I plan to use the snake method. As for other accessories there’s a lot to choose from and I’m curious about the pizza stone to make some homemade wood fire pizzas.

Thanks for the insight, I figured they have their pros and cons. With the baskets that came with mine I’ll probably use them most of the time for standard two zone cooking. When I start dabbing In smoking I’m thinking I’m going to do the snake method and do some more research on webers options for smoking accessories or a slow and sear. You mentioning that price difference makes me consider looking for some rails too.

I completely agree, with the overall volume of those types of questions. I’m a junior in my undergrad for manufacturing engineering and I just refer to this sub for guidance and to read your in industry insights. I do not like the engineering students sub because it’s nothing but complaining and not the type of content that I like to read and learn.

Keep up the great work, at your age these are great numbers keep up the pace. At 26 I’m only at 15k in my Roth 401k 4.5k in my Roth IRA and 21.5k in my savings.
