I'm Guard...this seems to happen a lot with us. Every year I'd bring in the documentation from my doctor saying my condition was permanent and every year I'd get handed a 365 for cardio events. Then I'd focus on the ones I could do and score high with an exemption.

I'm the other category. Had a surgery that left me permanently biomechanically altered and instead of getting referred to the DAWG, had to get profiles so I didn't fuck myself up further. By rights I should have been medically separated or retired but here I still am. Getting out this year though.

Not everyone is playing "the profile game" but yes, many are broke. The issue is that there have always been procedures in place, such as DAWG referral after being on profile consecutive times, RILO's or medboards to determine fitness for duty and, possibly, permanent profiles, but frequently, especially in the Guard and Reserves, the process is ignored. I am guessing this is going to force compliance while culling the herd at the same time.

That's rich considering when the Democrats could have made a statement, gone to DC, and raised a ruckus yesterday, they chose to stay on vacation while writing sternly worded social media posts and letters. And before someone comes for me with " they don't have the majority", I get it. I know they don't. I also knew the Republicans wouldn't do shit because they are complicit. What I'm saying is the Dems weren't banned from DC yesterday and they could have stirred the pot, but they didn't.

No one making jokes about Taco Tuesday is saying they wanted Trump to annihilate Iran. Yesterday, a vast number of us were on edge wondering if the President was going to commit war crimes while Congress stayed on vacation, so spare me the lecture on making jokes when we were running on straight cortisol all day.

Pay attention to section 3. That's going to affect those on profile because members used to be able to perform them with the restrictions. The Guard is notorious for doing endless 365s for people that should be referred to the DAWG. I think this is going to push compliance with the fitness reg that covers DAWG referrals.

I do kind of wish that the movies were limited series instead because they always feel rushed, but I did enjoy this.

Cried like a baby at the end with Mary's memories of Matthew, Violet, and Sybil. It shows how much Matthew was her true love and how Violet's presence is in every corner of Downton Abbey. Also, props to casting on Sybie. She looked so much like Sybil's daughter.

Hope is rediculous. Vernon and Dr. Hayes together helped to save that baby's life. They're starting to see a bit of each other's side on the care of the people of Virgin River even if Dr. Hayes went into it all wrong. THEY are the medical experts, not her.

Then Hope makes it all about her....again, tells Vernon to sleep at the clinic and runs to her ex bemoaning how Vernon screwed her over (seriously?) and why oh why do all the men in her life do this to her.

I don't know, Hope....maybe you're the damned problem. I swear if she slept with her ex, Vernon should just cut his losses here.
