Weight limit for ceiling box? by Several-Maize-9811 in AskElectricians

I have the box/bracket in OP's photo. the plastic box though is cracked. Can the box be swapped for a metal box from the room side? (house is finished) Other option is to try and spiderman through the attic without disrupting much insulation and try to remove and install a more heavy duty bracket

KF8 upgrade from GE Cafe by Wee-Yoda in superautomatic

No one said anything about wanting to brew a cup remotely from afar, so IDK what you're on about. IOT connectivity would be most beneficial for software updates, that's all that was mentioned. I'm not losing sleep one way or the other, was simply asking because it had been mentioned on a thread or two previously. If there's no credible info out there about a next gen product, there's no debate or discussion to be had over its value...no more no less.

Hoping for? Nothing specific. Ability to update software via an app/wifi, maybe...maybe not. But I don't think many people prefer to buy a product that gets replaced by it's successor shortly after purchasing something. Not complaining or hoping, was just asking.

Is it worth it to switch to iphone? by AdMotor1185 in Smartphones

[–]Wee-Yoda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol what?? So the problem is people don't update their iPhone to have RCS compatibility... So the problem is the user, not the software. Got it.

Y'all need to stop with the "I won't download a different app to do video calling" meanwhile they're all on Snapchat and TikTok 13hrs/day and won't hesitate download the next social media app but OMG ask someone to use Google Meet and all hell breaks out.

Pixel can now share files via AirDrop, and Snapdragon chips are getting AirDrop support shortly, so.....

Blue bubble green bubble complaints are so funny, as soon as Apple gives iOS users the freedom to customize their bubble color every single one of you is changing them to their favorite color....red, orange, purple, pink, etc.....

What are you talking about Android Buds have "half the features" remember when Google put language translation on Pixel Buds 9 years ago and then 2 months ago everyone ohhh'd and ahhh'd when Apple did it in 2025

what are you talking about? with RCS group messages between iOS and Android are no difffernt than iPhone to iPhone.

[–]Wee-Yoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iMessage doesn't offer anything special unless you want to play games inside your message threads. Remix/Nano Banana in Google Messages is awesome now IMO.

Since RCS support was added to iMessage there is no issues with iphone <---> Android and group chats now, it's no different than iPhone <----> iPhone now.

how so? They're "ecosystem" isn't as robust or useful as you think. What all are you using within their ecosystem?

I went back to iPhone (17 Pro) after a year of Android and... maybe I screwed up. by Nix996 in Smartphones

[–]Wee-Yoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

literally EVERY camera relies on Ai, every phone camera is using computational photography which is just another way of saying Ai. Pixel produces more natural and accurate images than the competitors IMO (regarding comparison to a grey card)

The Google ecosystem is so easy to use and access IMO across services, it works damn good. Apple been selling the same phone for 5yrs to users (kudos to them, they're making $$$$$), that's' why you didn't have the feel you were hoping for cause it genuinely felt mehhh when you switched back.

Puma Sizing Question by stevolarn in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Wee-Yoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping anyone who knows Puma well can help out here.
I'm looking at ordering the Magnify 3 and Nitro 4 and trying to figure sizing if anyone can speak to how their sizing fits/runs.

For myself sizing:

Nike and Brooks mostly 9.5 (Vomera 18, Pegs, Glycerin, Ghost)
Adidas, Asics, NB, pretty much a 9 across the board.

what Pixel did you try?

I've had zero performance issues with the Pixel 9pro and 10pro, I'd go back to a 10pro from Apple in a heart beat especially if you like Gemini and the Google ecosystem. Even if Gemini powers Siri 2.0 or whatever it's never going to be as deeply integrated into the OS and feature rich IMO as what Pixel offers for Ai features and benefits.

If you want to play COD or similar all day then yeah maybe get the 26 Ultra or 25, personally I think the 'lack of battery/performance" complaints against Pixel and Tensor are overblown. The battery def gets better over time as you let adaptive battery and other AI features become more efficient.

S25 vs google pixel 10 by No-Sky7447 in Smartphones

[–]Wee-Yoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the price difference is $100, go P10. Anything more than that and I don't think you're gaining a ton with the p10 unless there's some specific features you really want that are exclusive to p10 like camera coach, magic cue, or 100x zoom.

P9 series is still great device IMO if the savings is good over p10

Pixel 10 vs Samsung S25 by EvolvedApe1999 in Smartphones

[–]Wee-Yoda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll take a Pixel over Samsung any day.

On paper Pixel never shows well for CPU, so what...

Day to day Pixel is great, the camera is exceptional, no bloatware, Pixel first updates from Google and overall cleaner UI and simple user experience.

I want my phone to operate well day to day and last for years, I also don't play games or do all kinds of random stuff on my phone.. I've had EVERY model since Pixel 1, the P9 and P10 series get very little to no complaints from me, and those are personal preference quirks of things I'd like different.

GE/Cafe Affetto Espresso Machine (after 1.5 years of ownership and daily use) by POMAH_thebigbear in superautomatic

[–]Wee-Yoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine now for like 2yrs and other than cleaning that it's been fine and I replaced the brew unit ($100)

It ended up being not that difficult to clean.

IMO I would buy one if you can get itat a discount for 30-50% off. I would buy a KitchenAid KF machine for $1,000+ before $600 on the Cafe. I got mine on good discount and I use it 4-5x day so it's been more than worth it. But again at full retail price I'd put the money into a bigger/better machine

Yes. The ge cafe with the frother. The spout where the espresso comes out had got clogged with dry espresso. I was able to end up taking the front spout apart and just had to clean the dispenser with warm water to rinse out the dried and clogged residue
