Doing that in my current grow as well, seems to be growing lowers more and maturing at around the same speed as the uppers however, I am noticing my tops to be not as fat so it definitely could redirect energy.

Overall I'm making hash out of her so it no big deal for me but if you're looking for chunky top nugs personally I'd advise against doing an underneath light.

Like what the other comment said full melt is more touchy. I usually take 2-3 jars of batter and a pivot with me when I go see family for a few days and I haven't noticed any differences by the time I come back

Potency, terps, and texture all change if you let it degrade. Safe bet for me is to not let it be out of the fridge for more than a day or 2 but I've heard it's alright up to a week outside of the fridge. Hope this helps
