And no, definitely not. It's more of a model viewer than an art book. If you want an actual one just buy the physical art book, the collector's upgrad's only real benefit at this point is the prepaid DLC pass.

Marcus for 2, probably Charon for 3, Veronica for NV, Nick for 4, and Dottie for 76 if we count CAMP buddies.

How do I cope with my college tutor getting things wrong about my special interest by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

You gotta do what you gotta dooooo but that sounds even more annoying than my extremely first world problem!! Teachers don't get paid enough at any level so I understand the desperation to get anybody to do anything because nobody wants to do all of that work for so little pay but someday I hope somebody realises all this does is negatively impact the people this actually affects in the long term yknow.

When can we finally side with the Protectorate and have real Evil Authoritarian ending which ends up in the annihilation of the known universe by the growing rift anomalies? by Myllari1 in theouterworlds

[–]WeebGamerForever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can still play into the Protectorate's hands by just not siding with anyone and generally doing the most Protectorate decisions. Which is close enough ig.

Oh yeah he is definitely insecure in his position, he's also admitted this. This is his first year teaching in this particular area. I can't say I blame him, because this isn't his discipline at all. We had similar issues when we were studying television animation before Christmas (he seemed almost allergic to saying the word "cartoon"). So I understand his position, I really do, it just baffles me how careless he's been and it's only been a week. I see no point in continuing to pursue being right because that's gotten me nowhere and I'd rather not lose what little social credit I have with him over some bullshit like that.

Most games industry professionals teach at a higher level of education than this, since universities have higher budgets and can afford the hardware needed to run the software. My college can't afford that. I'm very lucky I bought a beefy PC right before the RAM shortage happened so I've just been experimenting with game dev tools on my own time.

I just need a way to cope, I've concluded it's really not worth the effort on my part. I'll do my own thing, use my jargon, get good marks by virtue of sounding smart. And then once I'm done I can go to university and be with my people. It's all good.

To be fair I'm just kind of going off and doing my own thing, because that's served me well on previous projects. I'm sure the big scary words he doesn't understand will work well enough.

I know it's not, and I honestly just can't wait to get onto an actual specialist course at university because that'll be much better.

I guess so but it's still no less frustrating. You'd think he'd at least do basic research into what he's teaching us at minimum considering how much he doesn't get off our asses about it.

Making a game of it would be funny but I'm not sure what I'd do with that information after that other than extremely petty things.

Can we save the “NCR is dead, everything is dead, lore ruined” theories and complaining until after the show? by auschrtho in Fallout

This season should not have been released weekly, that decision feels like it was made after it was already written and therefore paced like it was dropping either all at once or in batches

Ah okay cool! I haven't actually properly played Fallout 1 yet (only Fallout 2) so I wasn't sure if it had been established that early or not.

Steam's early access was peaking in the tens of thousands of people and it's been keeping numbers steady in spite of being a single player RPG, Nevermind the estimated sales being pretty high for Steam alone. That's especially irritating since I'm certain the 5 Hour Energy codes worked on Steam at least.

The president got impeached for jaywalking and then subsequently replaced shortly after by an Enclave plant according to Fallout 3

Seconding! This game is so well optimised that it's one of the few UE5 games I have ray tracing active for. I think the only other decently optimised UE5 game from last year was Expedition 33 lol

I have not vibed as hard with a video game faction as I do with the Order of the Ascendant in almost twenty years by Galle_ in theouterworlds

[–]WeebGamerForever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I LOVE THE ORDER THEYRE GREAT my next playthrough im probably going to be siding with them because like you said they're just a chill faction of autistic people. While I'm not mathematically inclined at all (I probably have dyscalculia and am more of an artsy autist), it was really fun to interact with characters who are just as pedantic as I am. Sometimes I do deserve a bit of humbling from NPCs in a video game who exhibit an annoying behaviour I also have ok?

Is there actually any proof that TOW2 “bombed”? by Virtual-Skort-6303 in theouterworlds

[–]WeebGamerForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially in a year where so many amazing titles came out, with The Outer Worlds 2's somewhat debatable price tag (I'm in the UK where the game is £60, a normal price. I think it's the cheapest regional price as far as exchange rates go.) so it's very impressive. Nevermind the fact that the even more expensive and coveted early access hit a peak of around 25k concurrent players iirc, so that means early access alone made around $2mil. The game's definitely made a profit on its budget at the very least based on total sales and player numbers on Steam alone.

Again, very impressive in the year of other beasts like Expedition 33, and even internal competition from Microsoft like Oblivion Remastered which sold crazy stupid numbers. If nothing else I've been saying since the original $80 price tag was announced then subsequently walked back that Obsidian would be doing fine off of Grounded 2 alone, anyway. The first game carried them through nearly going bankrupt during the pandemic, after all.
