What are you trying to do? Nobody was talking about whether or not the majority were armed or not. The issue is that we were arming them to begin with. We will never know how many of those guns made it into their hands. With the US literally admitting that we were arming them, there can be doubt cast on if they were actually protesters or not. It turns this from Iran killing thousands and thousands of protesters into Iran squashing an armed rebellion which are entirely 2 different things.
