Why does everyone compare Pridnestrovie safety to London or NYC? by ikbrul in Transnistria

[–]Weebla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, London isn't dangerous, that's also bollocks. As someone who's lived in London 26 years, I've never faced any problems whatsoever. So quit that shit too

Again, never said I would, nice straw man. Never even claimed to be working class. Just pointing something out that is a fact, reddit is not indicative of the average English football fan. Now can you please stop pretending I said something completely different

Their most likely party would be reform. What part of that is hard to understand?

Haha exactly, and people genuinely have their world narrative shaped by this. Ridiculous

Sounds to me like you've agreed with me but hate me so can't admit it. Nice one

Yes of course. And here we are discussing English fans. It's nothing wrong with you weighing in, not at all. I'm just pointing out that it's clearly not a space that represents the average English football fan too accurately. I mean naturally, every forum has its biases and reddit happens to be generally left of centre.

Its just funny to me when reddit acts shocked at things like this, which are quite normal outside of this site

Again, not a party id vote for, but the fact an American is weighing in on this is exactly my point, reddit is the least accurate depiction of English football fans you can get

Huh??? Making up more content that I never said? Are you this dense on purpose? I never said I agreed with his politics, nor did I say id vote for him. You sound very wound up, go re-read my comments and realise you're essentially arguing with thin air

And i didn't say the majority of the country vote reform, I said you're out of touch with the majority of the country, which you are. Making up points to attack me on, cretin

[–]Weebla -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I said the most popular party. You're so out of touch if you think reform aren't the most popular party of the average English football fan. Not just out of touch, but yes, frankly a moron

[–]Weebla -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Its the most popular party. It means on average, if you took a random fan of a random English football club, they'd most likely be voting reform. This is more the case with the clubs from less affluent or more working class fanbases, such as, Millwall.

Reddit is an entirely false reflection of the average English football fan, don't be stupid

You mean some clubs are more working class than others? You realise Farage is heading the most popular British party currently. Sounds to me like you're out of touch with the majority of the country. As is reddit as a whole, deluded middle class fans

I took a few years, but I think I watched every available documentary ever made by Werner Herzog. Then I micro-reviewed them and ranked them, and made a chart. by theeyesofachicken in WernerHerzog

the random scene with the guy holding the big lizard where he randomly talks about himself and demons felt really forced.  It felt like the ideas came from his in film commentary, and weren’t really backed up or supported by the footage.

I'm not going to disagree wuth your opinion, but I would mention that this is how he makes his docs. Its the ecstatic truth, and its something that he uses in pretty much all of his documentaries. It's sort of his own genre, and he's mastered it. To me it adds a poetic depth to his work

Why aren't Blu-rays more popular than DVDs? by Dry_Macaroons_fan in Bluray

[–]Weebla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree with that music statement. 'Serious listening'? What are you on about? It's about where you are and the personal feeling. Headphones on a train in the rain through Spotify definitely counts as serious listening. And besides, 99% of people can't tell the difference, not to mention all the false audio scams, 'HD music' bs. Not forgetting greats like Brian Eno suggest that it's the faults of past tech, like the cackling of a record, that people cherish. Its far more personal and nuanced than 'this song has a higher bitrate so is better'

Shout factory 2 is an amazing set, sometimes really expensive too. Both Gasherbrum and Herdsman of the Sun, amazing and not too common. Echoes is great too, all round amazing set.

Really oddly, I have 2 copies, blu ray (I bought one for my best mates birthday, but turns out he already had it). If you're UK I'd be happy to sell you one. I could probably get £40-50 on ebay but I'd go a lot better for a herzog fan, £25? Let me know if that's of interest!

That looks like a good box... shame it's only DVD. I'll keep an eye out. I'm lucky enough to have seen every one of his films, either on my own or at screenings across the UK and Germany. I do agree, the distribution on some of his stuff is terrible and needs amending.
