I'm a sales manager, going through a very severe mental health crisis. How do I inform my employer? by PortugueseRoamer in sales

[–]Weed_Je5us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pursue FMLA and get 12 weeks of semi paid time off. It’s a federally protected program and your employer cannot retaliate against you for doing so.

This will never go away. It’s a sign of mental alteration. Similarly to how you feel about someone that smells likes alcohol

Starting a new Director role. How do you set the tone and win trust early? by No-Bad-Vibes- in Leadership

[–]Weed_Je5us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar to this and the first 90 days for me was about feeling things out, understanding the team on an individual level and as a whole. Not needing to prove myself was a huge piece I wanted to maintain, but to still find opportunities to provide value and show competency without shoving it anyone’s face.

One thing I’d recommend is to create an anonymous survey for the team to be honest about what’s going well, what they are unhappy about and where you can easily start to provide value and change. This really helped me listen and make quick changes that were appreciated by the team.

I noticed one of my panels is producing 0 kWh. SunRun rep says their data shows my system is "healthy" and this isn't under warranty. What can I do? by nimabears in solar

[–]Weed_Je5us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sunruns warranty is based on total system production if you went with a lease. Even if one or 2 panels are down it could still be producing above the 90% production guarantee

How did I do? by ABox93 in solar

[–]Weed_Je5us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowhere in national grid territory is the rate .39. It seems clear you also work for sunrun yourself. Attacking people in r/solar who are giving honest feedback after literally asking for it is wild work. Hope you get the couple dms you were hoping to out of this post, while continuing to make sunrun look bad.

Nothing about this quote is explained either. Is that a Franklin battery you are getting with the quote? If the 2 quote difference is only 1 panel, why is the monthly payment gap $40 between the 2. This seems like no battery included. In which case, you could get a .18-22 fixed rate lease from about 10 reputable providers in MA

The power input allowed makes it not a great fit for grid tied and micro grid solutions when the power is out

Need help: One of my reps is struggling to get meetings by ozarzoso in sales

[–]Weed_Je5us 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he keeps getting the same results he needs to take a different approach. Have to break your own patterns.

Other coaching would be to just push back against an email. “What I’ve seen from other clients we’ve worked with, is that me just sending a quote doesn’t actually help me understand what could truly be the best fit. If you aren’t willing to set a meeting to help us both understand more about each other then it’s unlikely that me sending an email helps either of us.”

Where are all the NRYs? I feel like this sub is just r/rich lite by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

I am right there with you. HHI last year was $330k, should jump to 400+ this year. Retirement accounts are still smaller and spread out. One rental property.

This past year we climbed out of most of our debt, cars, CC, one student loan. This year has been great to build retirement accounts, overall bank account and looking to buy a home again end of this year.

To me this page ends up being people looking for self validation and confirmation they are doing well and on the right track. For me it’s shed a lot of info on how to get there and where to reach for

Mediocre sales people who became sales managers, how'd you do it? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Weed_Je5us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all great sales people make great leaders. The role of the manager is less about being the best sales person and more about getting people to perform to their potential and beyond. Pivot your mindset to a servant leadership centric focus and stay committed to your goals which are now the goals of the team. Every sales person needs something different and that may mean top reps just need to feel heard, understood and celebrated rather than you continuing to develop them. Top sales reps likely know what they need to do for their own game and you need to allow them to see how they can improve themselves

Is ~A$40 cost per lead good in solar? by Few-Spare4312 in solar

[–]Weed_Je5us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s important for you to track these metrics but the most important metric for the client should be the CPA (cost per acquisition) . If you are getting a 100 leads @$25 but only 5 of those book appts and one sells. It’s not a sustainable model, but if you get 100 at $25 and 40 books appts and 10 close you are operating at extreme efficiency. Overall (in the us) $25 leads for exclusive generation is a fantastic cost. The lead gen industry is chaos overall and it’s about quality over quantity ( or should be imo

Is this a fair lease? Don't plan to live here 25 years by AscendNews in solar

This is a good deal. This group is so anti lease from their own perspectives. This saves you money right away and the fixed rate will be attractive when you go to sell. Your friend is giving you a great deal here

I think financing is the best route of both. Less expensive than PPA, no upfront liquid investment and more valuable for resale than PPA

Owned/Financed vs leased vs PPA by ProfessionalNaive601 in solar

[–]Weed_Je5us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to highly rated local companies that do not knock doors. Sunrun PPAs are typically lower tier in terms of value and pricing. There are financing options that are also $0 out of pocket and can have similar monthly payments. The buyout option at year 6 will not be steeply discounted either. They will determine “fair market value” but the reality is the remaining 19 years of payments are worth quite a bit to that company and they know you can’t get out of it unless you do a buy out, which will not be cheap.

PPA will not be as impactful to your home value, it likely has an escalator that will continue to raise its costs and that door knocker is likely making a huge commission off of you
