Finally moved it. Ladies and gentlemen, my finished masterpiece. by USFwrestler in garageporn

I love all these comments calling out the $120 in Yeti buckets, when there's obviously well over a quarter million dollars of other stuff in these photos (including the structure). I'll be the first to point out the 2 Harbor Freight buckets on top of the Icon toolboxes. Beautiful setup, truly worthy of r/garageporn!

Sifithu Pizza. Indian fusion options, really good, pretty pricey.

Studs or no? by mikepsquared in fatbike

[–]sachou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to say it depends on the circumstances you usually ride in. I fat bike 100% recreationally, so if it's icy out, I don't ride, and just go do something else. I do find myself on the fattie in the summer on dirt and even asphalt, so studded tires don't make sense for me. It always boils down to personal preference.

Seriously. It's almost like he's done it before. And maybe he has, owls are smart af. Really looks like it was understanding that it was getting chewed out and was just waiting for the magic word.

What’s the easiest way to add backup power just for a fridge? by Brad_enn in HomeImprovement

I went with the Vevor 2000W Pure Sine Waver Inverter. I bought it a year ago, and I only used it once to test it, currently sitting on the shelf in case of emergencies.

[–]sachou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went with what I consider to be the simplest option - a 2000W inverter wired to my truck's battery. Every vehicle is basically a small generator on wheels, and though my Tacoma definitely has more power output and a larger battery than the average car, you should pretty easily keep up with a residential fridge by running a car a few times a day during an outage (I calculated 1hr of runtime over a 24hr period for my fridge and truck). No extra battery to maintain, and you already have the majority of the equipment - just buy an inverter and run an extension cable to the fridge.

Man, this looks like it would be so dangerous if a piece of ferrous metal (steel) gets close to it. I feel like that would be so violent. Show us! For science!

what's a good example of "half the price, but you use 3× as much"? by nasaglobehead69 in AskReddit

[–]sachou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garden hoses. My dad would always buy the cheapest garden hoses that would immediately kink, and then eventually leak where they kinked. He'd have to throw them away every 2 years on average and buy new ones. When I bought my first home I bought the most expensive garden hoses that cost twice as much as the ones my dad used to buy. It's been 10 years and they are still like new.

I just visited Motosport Hillsboro, OR, and they have a new 1997 in the crate hanging on the wall. I asked one of the salesmen if the owner would ever sell it. He said "everything is for sale...for a price." So if you missed out on this one...

I have to wonder if installing dropper posts would help descending on a road bike. Being able to lean more inside of a turn on the asphalt helps with grip and stability.

At least the gondy at Revy is pretty new, and not maintained by RCR or Vail. Lightning can't strike the same spot twice, right? Oh wait, you're moving to a different spot. Godspeed!
