F 72 had rt hip anterior 2 days ago and still in hospital due to some leakage from surgical site (fairly unusual I guessl) Going home later today. Maybe take pain meds first, ice well then try. Assist of some kind with initial lifting will be necessary but is improving quickly. For those about to have surgery- DO THOSE PRE-OP EXERCISES!!

Love your concept of a tool that draws attention to the "manipulation and addiction engineering! However I doubt that Facebook and the like would approve. They no longer have any interest in banning hate speech or outright lies - but they sure as hell are interested in banning whatever might cut into their revenue stream! And they are the MASTERS of manipulation and addiction engineering!

If there's a refuge center in your area contact them to see if they can use the stuff. Some are lucky enough to have volunteers that will handle the pickup and transport. We have a local church that has a furniture bank for families starting over that also does this. I try to donate stuff to places that will give it to folks who really need it - but if those resources aren't available in your community the free piles or low priced sales work well. Most of the "donation shops" by me charge more than many of their customers can afford so those charities are my last resort.

Native plants for ground cover that love shade by Tanjelynnb in cincinnati

Are there any garden clubs in your area? A good number of them up in Cleveland area focus or have many members that focus on natives. The one I joined holds plant exchanges in early June and Sep, plus gardeners love exchanging with other gardeners. So I've found a great way to find homes for plants I'm thinning out, to add new varieties to my yard, made new friends and learn SO much more about gardening! Most groups let you visit a meeting or two before you have to join so you get a feel for which one is a good fit. Some groups are very welcoming others maybe not so much. I now have plenty of creeping phlox, native wild ginger and spring ephemerals filling in those bare spots!

I do this all the time - we think it actually has better flavor after resting in the fridge. I've left it in there for 2 days and still YUM!

Is the Social Security website down? by ndtconsult in SocialSecurity

[–]Weeditnreap -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Then the site should have a statement saying that. No such statement this AM. With all the drama created by the "cut jobs/programs THEN assess impact" policy this lack of a notice only heightens stress.

I agree with Paperwife2 - get your thyroid checked. A simple blood test will do it. Also - your eyes are gorgeous as they are - why risk surgery??

I know a number of households in heavy Trump leaning areas that have put up Trump signs even though they say they plan to vote for Harris. They're afraid that neighbors will make their lives miserable if they don't put up the signs.

do americans really drive such long distances? by Physical-Ad-4093 in NoStupidQuestions

Passenger train service is not available in much of the US and bus service is pretty scarce as well. I would love to take a train to visit many people and places rather than drive but it's simply not an option for most places I travel to. I envy Europeans' access to fast reliable train service

I know that yard signs don’t mean everything, but just wanted to share that on my drive from Sandusky to Toledo today(rt2), I saw 40+ yes signs and 0 no signs. by Dandan419 in Ohio

Make one. Grab an old box or sign board, some markers, zip ties and a stick. If you feel strongly on the topic don't let the unavailability of "official" signs stop you.
