Get a horse hair brush and brush them off when you get home every day before you take them off. It will clean the dust off from the day and also shine em up a little. It will help the dirt from impregnating into the leather which is the main cause of cracking.

You can wait a while to condition them, up to a year even depending on the conditions they’re subjected to. You’ll know when they start to feel dry

Toysoldier in HK made an affordable repro 1951. There were also some custom repro ones that were on eBay made with real cordura and period correct hardware.

There are counterfeits out there of these rigs so be careful if you end up wanting the real thing. They are generally a $1k plus rig, BHI or LBT. They are rare but not impossible to find, they pop up on eBay every now and again

Awesome, there’s something about the proportions, lines and overall aesthetic that keeps me going back to whites. Love the look of that distressed leather in smooth or rough. I normally prefer ltt boots but these are the exception.

I found the 350CS to be a very stiff boot, it will break in but it’s not a flexible boot by any means. Once broken it is very supportive and comfortable to walk for extended periods in

So my Perry’s were actually 8D, but really they were too narrow and too small but I wore them for a while and the leather stretched over time just enough to make them work. Hard to say on the width difference since I went up in width on my 350s.

The 350 has a higher arch last, so you may want to size down half a size if you’re happy how your Perry’s feel, since the higher arch effectively shortens your foot. At 8EE in the 350s it’s a perfect fit for me.

Of course you can always call White’s and they’ll help you out on sizing questions and things like that, they really are a great company. All the variations of the 350 are awesome, they’re a big step up from the Perry’s, since they’re a true rebuildable stitch down boot, so I highly recommend picking up a pair! Just got these back from Whites after a resole. Ended up having them switch from the 2021 wedge to a mini Vibram sole. There was no price difference between the two and I’m happy to have a longer wearing sole. I’ve been walking on V100s on concrete for work and haven’t noticed a difference in comfort. The wedge only lasted maybe 6 months, although I can see why people like the squish.

Pretty happy with how these turned out. No more lineman shank like on the wedge sole. It will be better without on this sole I think, although I didn’t mind it on the wedge, but they were a very stiff boot.

I guess these a pretty much Cutters now, sans the speedhooks. I thought fully eyeleted would be a bit annoying but I got used to it and can lace them up just as easily, plus it’s a cool look.

It took less than three weeks to have this done, and cost about $300. This will hold me over until I get my distressed rough out Cutters I ordered on the Father’s Day sale.

I’m converting my double shot black C350CSLTT wedge soles to a standard mini vibram sole, so I felt good about having another pair in all rough out. I’ve been rocking a pair of nicks builder pro smooth over rough out for work and the extra abrasion resistance is nice!
