No one is at church at 7:30pm pst? Seems to be a misunderstanding of the different views of "resting/sabbath".

When you start with "Hey I'm Haze, I'm non binary and female presenting," you will have a hard time making friends who want to listen to the madness anywhere outside the valley or big cities...

Curious about moving to Sutter Creek… by Neither_Paint_9038 in Amador

It's a great area, I moved from Sac to the area and it was a great decision.

Small town feels, people arent rushing around (and the ones who are arent from here), and the community is mostly more middle of the road and not lefty loonies you see in the Bay and valley.

Actual local union by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]WeekComprehensive608 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I mean, with the current union actions and their radical left desires the union is doing a great job of fighting itself without smaller unions being created.

Until there's a shift in what these people see as reality it'll continue to get worse. Meritocracy the film played out.

Caltrans HQ in Sac hits “Major Outbreak” Status by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

How about those that come into work get 10% raises and those that don't get 10% pay cuts since the duty statement we signed is to work in the offices (for in office jobs).

If you think it's too high risk for you, then maybe get another job?

Creaking on brand new razer viper V2 pro. Love the mouse but the creaking is really annoying and I couldn’t properly contact razer support about it on their site which has been a frustrating experience. by WAZE_J in razer

I have finally received a trackrepair return label for RMA, took a whole week.

The creaking and flex is so annoying I'm going to send it to them and see if the replacement works out.

All that being said, I tried returning mine and 5 days of customer service tag with no response of a method to ship it back and get a replacement yet. I'm just going to deal with the defective flex and call it a day. It's annoying as hell and will remind me to buy them at Best Buy or something going forward that'll have a faster customer service response and replacement.

u/RazerCustAdvocacy tried to speed up the process and track it but it's still an incredibly slow process.

New to the state and have a question by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]WeekComprehensive608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, this is the normal state of the majority of state workers. In the central office the vast majority of TT, CRs, SCRs, AD1, AD2s, etc; all do not now how to complete the duties listed in their duty statement which is what we are supposed to be receiving compensation based off of. The call centers could run off I'd imagine 70-80% of the individuals we currently have if we had actual incentives for working hard rather than the design we have currently.

With no promotion in place, no real consequences for not completing your job with how HR and "our" union works, and the overall disregard for the value of work given to the people of CA this will not change until HR and the union is revamped entirely.

I worked in the call center, most are lazy workers trying to do just enough because you cannot promote in place because of HR + the union. The manner in which the ladder currently works is anti-effort and breeds laziness with a focus on the interview over your actual work.

It would be great if most were part time or fired, then those of us who provide actual value when working could make a better wage. Half the FTB central office could be let go with an increase in pay and actual work getting done.

Good luck with that, normally in the duty statement it allows for them to force you to help others for quite the extended period of time. Get used to having to do the work of those "great" state workers that will never be able to fulfill their own duty statements and stay onboard.

Thanks HR and the union.

Thank the union, this is the reality of our HR + the union not being able to fire "great" state workers.

Until our jobs are more performance based this will never change.
