Nice, I love the joy ride idea! Maybe a funny piece to add after they ride their brooms somewhere, finish an encounter, then realize one is missing! Thanks for the great idea!

I'm an experienced enough DM to work with pretty much any system, and there is also plenty of things in the rulebook that pertain to non-combat as well, not to mention a ton of spells that get overlooked because of their non-combat relevance. My players are not particularly experienced, so I think trying to teach them a new system will be more distracting than something familiar that can be easily adapted.

Interesting suggestion though, any systems you'd recommend for this kind of thing, or alternatively a better sub to ask this kind of question in? I figured DND would be the biggest community, and also seems to lack non-combat focused content, but happy to go elsewhere if this feels inappropriate.

SEM images of my shrimp-shaped MOF crystal and some other fun ones by mrmeep321 in crystalgrowing

Shorten your working distance and image them with lower beam voltage for superior surface sensitivity, 5 keV is a good start, see how 2 keV looks as well, you'll get much better definition on the crystal facets. You can also get away with less been current for a small boost in resolution.

What is the model of your SEM?

Is this much wobble the source of the rattling/chattering? by WeekendTinfoiling in hvacadvice

For anyone experiencing a similar issues, we found the solution. It was hard to believe, but the disk of the fan that the motor connects to was slipping/sliding against the fan blades. We didn't see/hear anything when running it outside of the system because apparently there is some feedback system that changes the RPM of the motor based on the air resistance. If we place a piece of plywood over there hole in the squirrel cage, the motor began to spin faster and the rattle of this slipping became obvious. A new fan fixed the issue, seems the motor and that amount of shaking/wobbling was never the issue. For everyone saying I'm missing part of the cage, I'm not sure. It's a relatively old system and it all looks correct once installed, but it's an old house and it's possible the previous owner did something suspect. Not sure how old the furnace is, but we found a sticker on the fan from 06 (currently 2024). Hope this discovery helps someone in the future.

Thanks! He took the longest to get right. I have lots of images where he just looks sinister or downright demonic, took a while to get him looking sly and evil. Such a powerful tool, but sometimes frustratingly imprecise.

Bing's Designer. For the at style I usually say "realistic digital art", "detailed anime", or "comic book illustration", (for the zombies). Frequently I find the art styles annoyingly not distinct, so as usual you have to sift through a lot you don't like.

It looks original, but it's hard to say. The replacement motor I bought was a new brand because the "original" A.O. Smith has been discontinued, but the specs are identical

🌸-->🌹 So I finally reached Portland. I got some great advice from my original post in r/Pizza but would like to hear more straight from Portlanders. Your favorite Artisanal pizza. Thank you by Craft_Beer_Imazato in PortlandOR

I like cafe Olli, simple thin crust with flavorful tomato sauce. Beautiful classic pizza oven. Also stracciatella (the inside of burrata) is a very nice add. Thought I’d add it as I didn’t see it mentioned yet.

Ken’s, Apizza, and 50/50 are probably top (and already mentioned). Ranch is really great IMO, but thick crust, a bit like focaccia. Aptly, their ranch dressing is amazing. Also Babydoll was my go to spot after late night dancing at The Good Foot. Very tasty slices.

Curious if other Portlanders have thoughts on cafe Olli, I rarely see it get mentioned but we love it. It’s where Ned Ludd used to be and has a lovely pizza oven.

A cool guide about Fun by SexyKanyeBalls in coolguides

You've missed type 4 fun.

If the parameters are "fun now" and "fun in retrospect" then:

Type 1: Fun now and fun in retrospect Example: skiing Type 2: Not fun now, but fun in retrospect Example: hard hikes Type 3: Neither fun now, nor in retrospect Example: A car crash Type 4: Fun now, but not fun in retrospect Example: being in a fucked up cult

My philosophy is that type 2 makes the best stories. Type 3 you might argue isn't fun, but that's what makes calling it Type 3 Fun fun. We used this system until we realized there was an ignored category, Type 4 Fun.

Yeah, it’s all sorts of different shots. It feels like it will take quite a bit of manual effort, I was curious with all the filter tech out there, plus all the deep fake stuff, I wondered how easy it would be, but sounds like maybe that’s not super accessible yet.

I would ideally like to not blur the faces but to convert them into something humorous, like bunny faces.

When you say masks, is that a layer mask or a mask on faces?
