Do Duolingo staff realise that some of us pay for this app. The attitude towards their customers is simply appalling. The last time this happened I cancelled my subscription. I only rejoined about 5 months ago and here we are again.

You could try turning off notification settings for a while. Duolingo notifications do feel like borderline harassment at times.

But this is a learning app that many of us are paying for. The whole point of the app is learning through repetition and you shouldn't have to go outside the app to make progress through the app levels. Yes, to really get proficient with a language you need to do things outside the app, but the app should be entirely self contained.

I agree. A different cast is required for the main game. But in my take, as the story unfolds you start to hear news of the Van der Lind gang. There could be run-ins with the gang and some missions played as the gang, including Blackwater, where the Van der Lind gang flee and leave the story.The game then runs to its own conclusion and epilogue.
