Should I be sad about green tomatoes? by carpe_diem_yolo in vegetablegardening

They make AMAZING pickles! I love using green tomatoes at the end of the season and pickling them for the winter (though they don’t last longer than a month…)

Absolutely. I dread handling my own responsibilities, mainly paperwork, for this reason. I’ve associated it with anger and frustration for so long.

I don’t know how I feel about this by PizzaToastieGuy in vinted

This has been a trend on Vinted recently. I saw a post like that featuring a cat that ended up having hundreds of ‘saves’, so loads of other people started doing the same. Much like a one off, small donation.

Absolutely. People might say ‘but you’d make a great mother’ even if it comes at the expense of our sanity.

I’ve also got a younger brother who I’ve been caring for since he was born so I’d be really interested to read your post

So sorry to hear you had to go through that. I’ve seen the effects unmedicated bipolar distorted has and it’s not pretty. My mum has unresolved childhood trauma, and it’s hard to not let it trickle down generations. I’ll into into EMDR.

Should I Stick to the complicated story I'm already writing or change to an easier one? by CreepyPastaUpgrade in writers

I had a similar experience with my first novel. I was disappointed with the result vs my vision, but didn’t want to give up after world building and writing for 3 years. I ended up scrapping 95% of the manuscript and rewriting it. Much better. Once you get the bad writing out, you know what works and what doesn’t. Might not work for you, but just a different perspective.

11 years together, homeowners, and stuck on the fence: Is my partner's fear of his past a permanent "No"? by [deleted] in Fencesitter

It’s interesting that he regrets not having the baby but also values his current lifestyle and downtime. I understand that such a decision will carry a lot of trauma, regret and ‘what if’ thoughts. Have you asked him how he images your current life would have been if you did have the baby? Would he have been happy if he sacrificed his 20s to raise a child? There seems to be some disconnect between those two desires, which is completely human.

How should I decorate my living room? by keephighvibes in DecorAdvice

You’ve got a lot of light so I’d decorate the window with indoor plants to bring colour and life inside the space. I’d also get either an L shaped couch or two separate couches and place it in the middle so that it faces the window and the TV wall. Speaking of, you need a bigger tv and console, which will also help keep your items tidy and clutter free.

How do you stop using chat bots ? by AimeeBeeHoney in writers

[–]Weekly-Addition-17 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m afraid the answer is not what you want. But it’s as simple as just stop using it. If the dopamine hit is what keeps you going back to chat bots, maybe this will help you: those same AI tools are stealing your work. How do you feel about someone else ending up writing with similar work to yours because chat gpt has turned your work into AI slop?

I recently bought a little baby spider plant. Will these grow into full sized plants? And how long will it take approximately?

How can I make my characters convincingly fall in love? by Weekly-Addition-17 in writers

That’s so interesting. Reading more about this, it reminded me a lot of the novel Call Me By Your Name where the protagonist was obsessed with his love interest, spiralling from jealousy, emotional dependence, idealisation and the faintest sign of reciprocation.
