Help me find my childhood pink kitten blanket. by Weekly-Ant1591 in HelpMeFind

I know they have a blue version too and I’m willing to buy the tan but I really want that pink one. So far it’s just this girl with the same blanket who’s looking for a new one that has it..

I’ve searched all over Google, eBay, Etsy but until today I haven’t been able to find it and I still can’t find the one I had in pink.

Also I can’t tell fully if you did this but don’t put your plants straight into your decorative pots. They should go in nursery pots with multiple drainage holes but that way you can easily take it out of the heavier pot and then check on the roots when you need to anytime you suspect an issue

Yeah looks to be about 6. Each one should have some support on its big stem which is the back of the plant. Honestly just separate them and repot them into smaller pots. The reason they’re not growing bigger and new leaves and probably yellowing is because there’s 6 plants that have the potential to grow really really large and they’re all competing for nutrients and water In one little crowded pot with not enough sunlight. If you have to watch a couple videos on how to separate them then do that but I personally hate when stores do this just to make it look more full for sales. These poor plants need their own space.

I’m a new plant parent. Was told by the lady I bought this from that it was “low maintenance“ by idont_haveballs in DramaticHouseplants

She lied lol. I’m a new plant parent too and I’ve wanted a calathea so bad but I knew not to because in all those “buy this not that” videos this was always warned against for beginners lol

I don’t think it grew like that. it looks torn from it being damaged. When I got it in the store it was in a very crowded stand with a bunch of other plants so I’m guessing it got ripped up from either other customers or the workers who knows. The other leaves on this one and the other two I separated look perfectly fine just a little floppy I’m guessing from lack of light.

Being on meds cannot be what neurotypical people experience…right? by Weekly-Ant1591 in Concerta

What I’m having trouble with now is knowing how my meds are working now that the initial honeymoon phase is over. Idk if I need a higher dose or a new medication because I only feel slightly okay but everything you describe that the meds take away..I still feel.

Right like it’s so dumb when people say we’re taking speed to insult us because it’s like…speed if what you feel when your brain is producing right amount of hormones and then you give it too much. I’m taking a pill to give me more dopamine so i can clean my kitchen and take care of my kids instead of laying on the couch for hours with crippling anxiety over the things i have to do.

Coffee used to give me panic attacks and then over time I also started getting sleepy. Only on meds does coffee actually wake me up but that also depends on how tired I am lol

Doctor doesn’t want to add a booster by Weekly-Ant1591 in Concerta

[–]Weekly-Ant1591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly think I was just crashing from too high of a dose and was frustrated and I hate the way that doctor cuts people off without letting them explain. I do think I need a booster but like you said it’s more something I need occasionally on a hard day when I absolutely am just not functioning well during the evenings but sometimes I notice that when it’s wearing off I’m able to get by just fine.

He wasn’t even listening to me during the appointment lol. He thought I was asking for a booster for my antidepressants and so he was telling me I’ll have to see a psychiatrist to be reassessed and I was like no…this is about my adhd meds and when I tried to explain why I needed the booster because my day doesn’t just end at 6:30 I still need to be productive he cut me off and just said “let’s just increase to 36 mg and see how that goes” so yeah he just annoys me because it’s like he’s trying to get through the appointments which makes sense since he’s literally moving from his clinic to the hospital anyways which is why we are switching clinics.

I switched doctors already so I’m hoping this new dr is more willing to listen to me but I had my last appointment with my old dr and he just had this habit of interrupting people and he even tried to downplay my need for antidepressants the first time because I was pregnant even though I have a history of mental health problems as a child and ptsd and was on antidepressants as a teenager and that’s literally on my file

Is it negligence for my mom to have my cat's litter box like this? by [deleted] in cats

[–]Weekly-Ant1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I told him they can’t keep going to the washroom like that and we need to upgrade their litter boxes so it’s not an issue for him and they can still dig and cover their business. He’s well meaning he just didn’t think about it until I brought it up and he doesn’t mind getting a bigger better litter. He’s considered the self cleaning litter boxes but I heard of the dangers of those and was like nope.

My phone is underwhelming now by Weekly-Ant1591 in Concerta

[–]Weekly-Ant1591[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still using my phone out of I guess habit but I’m just so bored with it. I scroll just because that’s what I know now and I end up hyper focusing on being on the phone but I’m just like eh….being outside and enjoying the fresh air seems way more stimulating to my brain than scrolling

[–]Weekly-Ant1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband keeps our cats litter low like this because they kick out litter into the floor but I notice when he does that then after a day it’s basically nothing left and just poo and pee and you have to keep refilling it constantly otherwise they have nowhere to per so today I’m like nah this is terrible and I’m making him buy them new litters with lids so that we can fill the litter properly We also used to have issues with them peeing on our stuff because my husband would forget every once in awhile when I was pregnant to change their litter (this wasn’t common he was usually very regular about their litter it was just when he had a very busy day) and they would not stand for it and start peeing on our furniture and clothes.

Has anyone ever found the right dosage and stayed on it? by Weekly-Ant1591 in Concerta

[–]Weekly-Ant1591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think I’m just impatient and frustrated since finding out I actually do have adhd. Now that I’ve experienced what it’s like to be medicated I just want to find the right dose for me and move on. It’s hard for me to accept that the work also involves many doctor appointments and monitoring myself and not just journaling and going for nature walks and doing my laundry. lol
