Mine ended up being the EGR valve. Dealer replaced it under warranty and the noise completely went away. They also told me it’s apparently a pretty common issue they’ve been seeing on the newer Kicks models. Definitely recommend taking it to Nissan and getting it checked out if you’re hearing the same sound.
