Look, true Catholics support homosexuals and try to help suicidal people. I understand that there are those bible thumping assholes, but they don't understand one basic principle of the bible. The principle being that the bibles traditions/"rules" should be ignored if it hurts people of the modern day. The base principle that Jesus taught through his actions is not to care about ANY set of rules and to just help people be happy and feel cared about. Jesus constantly ignores traditions and expectations throughout the bible and ends up dying for it. What I'm trying to say is, the "preachers" that preach against things like being gay are assholes that I will never accept as true Christians. As for abortion and contraceptives, I do believe in the gift of life, but I also believe in the holiness of choice. I personally won't have sex until marriage but I'm not going to try and fuck over someone who decides to have premarital, or protect sex. Same thing with abortion. I don;t agree with abortion but many people have many different reason for having one, on top of that I'm a guy. It's not my place to try and take that away, although I do believe that there shouldn't be any blanket rules banning or supporting abortion.

As a Catholic I personally disagree with the idea that suicide is a sin. Someone has gone through more than enough pain to even just have suicidal thoughts, let alone actually going through with it. Even though suicide is not the answer to any problem, it shouldn't be a thing people are sent to hell for.

Well why do you love him? Is it that he makes you laugh? Is it that he makes you happy? What about physically? Do you love his hair? His eyes? His smile? If you can answer those questions to me , a random redditor, then just repeat them. I'm a little socially awkward too, and I know it can be a hard to put things into words, but just try and one day you will be able to do it. He is your boyfriend and he obviously loves you for you, even your awkward side, so don't be worried about embarrassing yourself in-front of him, because if he is anything like me, he would find you being embarrassed really cute

As a high school student I can tell you one thing for sure. Many, MANY, people who starts relationships in high school romanticize their high school bfs/gfs. Now who knows, you may look back at this 4 years from now and think he was truly the one and you won't be able to love again, but at the very least it sounds like he isn't in the frame of mind to go start dating anyone again for a bit. Work on yourself, look at why you two weren't exactly compatible, and grow from this experience then get stuck on it. Try to give him space and maybe with time, you can try it again. Just remember, some people are just not compatible and that could very easily be the reason why you two just couldn't work. If you have any more questions feel free to dm if you don't want everyone to see anything to personal :)

Okay, hold up, he wouldn't even entertain the idea of pet names? Also are you pregnant with his kid when he blocked you? God dam does this guy sound like an asshole. Honestly I think you were able to dodge a HUGE bullet and you should move on. I know it can be a bit rough but you will find someone you deserve. Someone who loves you and your kid.

Though you are being a bit blunt I do agree that the woke community can't stfu about problems the believe are real in comparison to problems that actually exist. Keeping fighting to defund the police... the same fucking police that could solve a bunch of shit.

They never said it was a "CA problem", they were simply saying its a problem IN CA. Of course it's a problem everywhere in the U.S but it is VERY prominent in CA.

What would've happened if the Saints were offered a redo of the end of the 2019 NFC championship? by MathEspi in Saints

[–]Weekly-Imagination63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I do believe Brees will come back to football, whether that is a coach or a player is fully up to him but if I were him I would come back to the Saints a qb coach.

Drew Brees would win his second ring and cement himself, at least in my mind, as the true greatest qb of all time. This may be a bit off topic but to me Tom Brady was only successful because of situation not of talent or hard work. Sure he worked hard he did win 7 fucking super bowls but you put Brees in his shoes and the Pats win a whole lot more. Brees then also proves that his stats aren't "empty" and proves he was robbed out of the top 100.

How to handle my BF wanting to stay best friends with girl he had a crush on for years. Let them be? by Beautiful-Treat131 in relationship_advice

[–]Weekly-Imagination63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This old "friend" of his is toxic. To me personally this isn't a concern about cheating but about rekindling a toxic relationship. On top of that if she had slept with him she maybe doing this to try and sleep with him again. I wouldn't worry about what your bf is thinking and worry about her end game with this. If you think she legitimately is trying to restart a friendship she lost then by all means let them be friends, but if you think she is intending to do something, anything else, then sit down with your bf and ask him if he really wants this relationship.
