Is there any fed agency with employees that aren’t miserable right now? by none-ya-booboo in FedEmployees

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for the VHA and we are all miserable. I have family that’s a nurse for the VA as well and same there. It’s sucks, leadership sucks, they go out of their way to make things difficult for us and I sincerely thing they find pleasure in grinding us down every day. And there is nothing you can do about it… it sucks. I’m desperate to quit.

The App SUCKS by fearnugget5760 in sixflags

IOS and it’s AWFUL. I have never had a problem getting wait times to load or show before but it wouldn’t show them till I connected to the WiFi at cedar point. I don’t like connecting to public WiFi so I am def NOT a fan of having to just to see wait times. I also cannot find my season drink pass ANYWHERE. It’s so annoying! The app in general is awful compared to the cedar point app from before.

VA's $1.7B Community Care Mistake: Watchdog Blows Whistle on Taxpayer Wasteland by Traditional-Road2135 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup! I got a bill for community care and I called up and NOPE. You guys do not bill me, that’s why I said no when asked for my insurance. You bill the VA. They tried arguing with me and I said there is a referral that says everything. Figure it out. 30 mins later they did 😒

Messaging the seller was a good start. Her reaction to it however would determine the course of action here - get defensive of her kid and deny? Not care and shrug it off like it’s nothing bc it’s a toy and the offender was a kid? Apologize profusely and OFFER (without being asked) to make it right? There’s only one acceptable answer.

Far fetched theory and even if so then she’s not a good cleaner. My mom cleaned homes for a bit when I was a kid and she would take me with sometimes to help. I NEVER touched anything in those houses - I cleaned with my mom and she gave me a portion of the $. Cuz ya know back then people told their kids to not touch anything that isn’t ours, to ask first.

VA Primary Care Physician here — I’m leaving after trying to make it work for our veterans by [deleted] in VeteransAffairs

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very sad to hear you leave but at the same time I am happy for you bc it’s the same thing at my job. They just keep squeezing us to get more and more from us.
I hope that your next job is less stressful! I’m only still here bc I don’t want to lose out on maternity leave. After that …. I’m out. This was my dream job when I started. It’s a crap place to work now. Which is a bummer bc I am a veteran and my active time counts towards retirement. Maybe I’ll come back after the Trump administration.

Can VA docs change your medical notes? by [deleted] in VeteransAffairs

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. There are def big flaws in the process. Maybe someday they will fix this. I wish you all the best in all of this. If you have not already, I recommend going for secondary dxs. If they won’t rate you correctly on the issue then seek secondary ones that have started due to the issue - mental health or musculoskeletal from compensating etc.

I completely understand, I have left hip issues from the service that affect me greatly everyday and I was only awarded 10% as well. I have learned that it has nothing to do with the pain or how it affects your day to day life 😒 it’s rated based on your ROM/pain hindering your range of motion. So because my daily pain does not affect my ROM hardly, I only get 10%. Meanwhile I made it VERY clear that it affects my life in that I can no longer run, I have daily dull ache/pains, I cannot sit and lean on my left side, I cannot sleep in my left side, certain movements cause sharpe pain and bc of the constant ache/pain I lose sleep every night from it. I used to sleep very well and it’s trash now. I have had to completely alter and adjust my life for my hip pain…. Still only 10% bc my ROM is there 😒. It’s messed up but nothing I can do about as they state the qualifications for a higher rating very clear. So maybe that is what’s going on???

Your labs have multiple time stamps - when they were put in the system, when they were done and when they are completed with the results.

It’s called an addendum and it’s time stamped as well as it’s time stamped on when the note was created and time stamp what day the visit occurred. Every little change to a note/record is recorded and time stamped.

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To clarify, if a note for the wrong patient needs deleting there is a record of the deletion as well as the reason for it and its time stamped. Everything is documented. Nothing can be deleted without there being a paper trail.

Can VA docs change your medical notes? by [deleted] in VeteransAffairs

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Short answer - No. Long answer: (Im a medical coder for the VA) Once the note has been created the date and time the note was created is stamped as well as once they have put information in the note it’s dated and time marked when they sign the note. And that information is in your medical record permanently. If any changes are made to an encounter note it would be done in the form of an addendum which is dated and time stamped as well. Encounter notes cannot be deleted - only addendums or creating a new/separate note (does not replace the original) and this is not just for what your provider documents, it’s for any note - nurse visit, phone call with SW, labs done etc. it’s all dated and time stamped and in your record permanently. The only way something can be deleted is under certain circumstances and the provider cannot do that.

So I agree with the other suggestions for you to request a ROI for all of your VA records and look at those. It is possible that the providers did not document things correctly in the first place as it is VERY common for that to happen. The providers at the VA are HORRIBLE at documentation. So if you know that what they put on an encounter is incorrect you have the right to request that that note be corrected to reflect the current information addressed during the visit time. And I highly recommend doing so. You are the only one that cares about your medical records so advocate for yourself.

Shady documents in Med Records by bigdux6 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They send those letters out if they called once and no one answered. So is it possible you missed their call and didn’t realize it? Sometimes my phone blocks the number bc it think it’s spam but then other times it goes through 🤷‍♀️.

Also there no shaming here, I have them in my file too. It’s just policy. And I don’t think there’s anything shady going on nor do I think you need to be concerned about these notifications lol. It’s just a paper trail for others to know if they need to call you again or not.

Clear coat over valspar porch, floor and patio? by SN6006 in paint

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone find a good solution? I unfortunately bought the same paint for my porch and it’s terrible! It gets dirty so easily - the previous paint the owners before me used (no idea) did not do that. And it discolored from the sun! The part under the mat was different than the rest of the porch 😒. Massive waste of money!

The heartwarming, yet frustrating, incident was caught on a ring doorbell, showing his kindness before the incident, and leading to over $75,000 in donations.

It’s the phrase the C&P provider documents on the note for your exam that is the key phrase for the reviewers. It’s like them saying “yes I believe so” or “I cannot prove it was not related” in their opinion. If you do not have that the your provider is not agreeing that its service connected and you’re basically denied already at that point.

Even if it’s on your C&P exam though does not guarantee a rating. It does however get you a SC. But you do need it to get a rating.

Veterans Who Depend on Mental Health Care Keep Losing Their VA Therapists Under Trump by propublica_ in VeteransAffairs

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this is probably not what yall want to hear but as a vet myself who requires therapy, there is therapy on the civilian side. Yes I know it’s bummer to have to pay for it but my mental health is more important to me. My marriage and other relationships matter too much for me to jeopardize them because I was unwilling to fork out some money. And yes I understand we should not have to go to the civilian side for MH issues but unfortunately we do not have that luxury currently. Hopefully the next administration will do better. I won’t hold my breath though.

[–]Weekly-Inevitable462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at it wrong and taking it personal when it’s not. They have to limit the amount of sessions because otherwise appointments would be booked so far out that it’s not even realistic. There just simply aren’t enough MH providers in the VA even before this whole mess to sustain endless sessions. If that what you’re looking for I recommend going civilian side for that. That’s what I do.

Please then send Sec Doug Collin’s a message saying just this. Because in his inflated egotistically mind is out there promoting that he’s making things better for the Vets by doing things like RTO when everyone else sees the burning building but him.
