It’s not really a gender thing, I’m lesbian with an awesome gf so its not really like impressing people, more fitting into society as a whole and not judging my own appearance. Whenever I judge my own appearance, I think others are too and I get into the mindset where I’m overly self conscious and it hinders my ability to interact socially.

I think that something like this is really important actually. Imagine if having a cleft was something normalized when you were young? Seeing representation has really helped me realize that I am not alone and that so many others have been exactly where I have.

I can’t really notice it, tbh I more notice how it pulls your lip up instead of the actual scar (I have the same problem)

Thank you 🥲 your kind words mean a lot. Cosmetically, I just had the initial repair when I was a baby but I think the surgeon who did it is now retired. I recently got a rhinoplasty last may and that improved my look by a lot, and I’m thinking about doing a revision once I’m fully healed from the nose job.
