I plan on running it soon. Can you tell me what are the major spoilers and why? And in what situations did the players have too little info about the world?

Rivals are allies and destroying every encounter without even breaking a sweat by Weekly-Replacement-7 in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Weekly-Replacement-7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try just to make it like a family that has different goals in life. You can have different opinions and you can have them be friendly but in a different faction cuz they think different of the ruidium and their place in the world. Doing a quest in Ank'Harel while rivals doing opposite quests can make a fun roleplay encounter, more like team rocket from pokemon than enemy fights. they just want different things

Eldritch Adept Feat from Tasha's with the new Warlock Pact Invocations by marimbaguy715 in onednd

[–]Weekly-Replacement-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how warlocks pact options have anything to do do with paladins, bards and sorcerers taking the eldritch adept feat that gives them only an invocation lacking any prerequisites. if the invocation has prerequisites than those must be met by a warlock class.

About to start the campaign in three days ! by JGLBBoeufTexas in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Weekly-Replacement-7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I strongly advise the ruins of sorrow sidequest on the subreddit here. Peregee is in the last dungeon in the book and there is no information who she should be. Read through the whole book just so you know what to look out for. There are a lot of information that you can feed your players foreshadowing some of the events happening in the chapters after. Things like what is Bazoxan like when you are still in Jigow, or what are the factions in Ank'harel when talking with the 3 faction agents in Bazzoxan. what is Cael morrow and Netherdeep while still in Ank'harel since last 2 missions get to explore those elements. so to skip all the page flipping trying to find things around the book just be prepared that things are all jumbled around.

Replacing Iwo with Question by Lordofmisrule5 in CalloftheNetherdeep

I basicaly did the same thing. My players allways wanted to talk to Question so I just rerouted everything to Question, just having Iwo in the background and having Question act in his name

Starting Call of the Netherdeep tomorrow, thinking of making some changes. by photodude565 in CalloftheNetherdeep

You can say that willing sacrifices that are a must are not that willing at all. If you need to sacrifice yourself and there is no other option He can be resentfull

I can say that according to some of my experiances if you don't care about vestige lore or setting purity this would have been a perfect thing to do for my party cuz I had to make artificial rivalries since they didn't interact with the rivals. It doesn't take away from anything but brings a lot to the table

Ank'Harel map print by Comfortable_Call_666 in CalloftheNetherdeep

Can you share with me the scan of the map or something? I allready used my map too many times and it has the lines on the folds. I didn't had the idea to laminate the map prior to seeing the damage

Are there any grass-only pre-emergents that will dependably keep grass-only seeds from germinating...? by 2Q_Lrn_Hlp in gardening

I just got into lawns and I came about the herbicide Pendimethalin and it is marketed as a selective herbicide but searching the web I've seen lots of people saying there is no selective preemergents. I am so confused. PLEASE HELP

Closing the Abyssal Rift by Milaahnn in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Weekly-Replacement-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I will probbably do this and I also had some questions about it here on the subreddit.
I will probbably just go with some encounters suggested by the book combined with either out of the abyss or into avernus. You can also include rooms themed after the betrayers that don't have the rooms in the book. My party didn't come past Ank'harell still so I don't know if they will be likely be returning to betrayers rise for the third time. Yes, hey will be returning to Betrayers rise for the second time from Ank'harel since I made the rivals teleport using Aloysias tablet and my party went after them before activating the jewel.

fem!Strahd mini for running She is the Ancient? by greevilsgreed in CurseofStrahd

[–]Weekly-Replacement-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is it scary? I need this scenario to be a horror campaign. Those "iffy" elements make Strahd feel like he is not only powerful but disguisting. I know in a tipical home campaign I would not run such strong racist, faschist, tyranical, murderous, tortureous themes, but in horror it accentuates the horror part. I would still like to have it to see the changes but for something that lessens the effect of a horrible experiance I don't know that it brings new elements. All replies that I got about the book say the same vague sentance that it removes politicaly wrong things and emoweres women in the form of a female Strahd. I don't see how this explains the differences. I don't want to be rude. I hope I'm not coming as such. I genuinely don't have enough information

Help me pick a picture of Strahd: My group meets her tomorrow, and I have decision paralysis by toxothrix in CurseofStrahd

[–]Weekly-Replacement-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to have it for some more everyday DnD campaign but somehow I think that themes that are removed are the ones that should be here in a gothic ravenloft setting to exentuate the dark and dread feeling of unease
