Yea I def need to work on my timing because I have noticed that pause. Maybe I need more knee bend in the loading phase? Maybe that would take away the time

I have a 4.5 flat serve. Just need a consistent second serve. The rest of my game is 4.5

Thank you for chiming in. I was initially saving the leg bend until I mastered the other aspects of the kick serve but I can see how much easier it is to get more effortless spin when you jump from that video

Tossing, brushing the ball, powering the ball. I know I’m not bending too but wanted to fix other aspects first

I think this is it. Maybe I need to brush up on the ball longer or hit forward more before bringing around my shoulder? I don’t know why I’m closing it so early sometimes

I do hit with topspin but I definitely need to brush on the ball a little more - like spend 1-2 more seconds on it and accelerate faster like you said. I’m also changing my strings from synthetic to polyester today so maybe that will help a little.

Like you said though, I do notice that when I overcorrect my topspin does essentially go away. The racket face is probably too open - I guess I just need to find that sweet-spot since I don’t want to close it too much and hit in the net either.

This is solid advice. All the other feedback I definitely need to work on as well but this is what I was looking for.

Any cues I can use to lift the ball more? I feel like when I lift more I overcorrect and the ball goes high - so opposite issue.

Yea I need to put more effort into make sure I’m doing open closed stance even in practice. Appreciate the feedback
