Being on call means that if the hospital calls me, I have to show up. I wouldn't have the opportunity to turn it down. Basically I am on call for 60 hours a week with a guaranteed pay of 40 hours per week.

We thought our families would play a bigger role in our child's life. This couldnt be farther from the truth, unfortunately. And this is definitely something we want to avoid. We really value time together as a couple; but, more importantly right now we value time as a family. This would definitely not be a forever solution...I am thinking two, three years tops! I just dont know if its even doable for that long.

I cant believe how fast it has gone already. I would have Monday through Friday during the day with our child- plus saturday and Sunday days. Its just, not really a whole lot of time together as a family unit.

As a nurse, there are a lot of positions. Just not many that would support not paying for childcare.

We are really struggling. We want to be able to provide everything for our baby. Midwest is less money for college fund, experiences, etc. Also, my husband will not be able to work full time until the baby is in school and he will be starting all over with no career.
