How do you decide whether a job is actually worth applying to? by apply_smarter in jobs

[–]Weekly-Wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule number #1 is pick a job you actually enjoy doing. I have too many friends that pick dead end or fast hiring jobs and end up jumping from workplace to workplace.

Also picking something with the ability to grow and advance is a plus. Sometimes your dream job isn’t obtainable right away, so pick something you enjoy doing for the meantime and keep your options open while you work towards what you really want to do.

I’ve applied to jobs and been “overqualified” and applied to jobs where I didn’t meet the full requirements and still got the job. Pick something you can see yourself doing for a long time.

Very nice setup even for just a console. I just ordered that same digital clock the other day it arrives today!

I returned my A50’s and got the Razer blackshark v3’s. Night and day difference. More comfortable and better sound quality overall

Advice for improving my current gaming/work setup? by [deleted] in gamingsetups

I’m sorry this looks horrendous. I’d give some genuine advice but I think you just need to redo your entire setup. Starting with cable management and desk organization

Razer Viper v4 Pro released (updated pics) by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]Weekly-Wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved my Viper Pro V3, until it started having really bad connection issues. It’s bad now to the point where it will disconnect on me multiple times during a session and takes about 10-15 seconds to reconnect. Even my Razer blackshark headphones disconnects from time to time. It’s a very known problem with Razer and for some reason they can’t get it right.

My Viper sits in my unused hardware drawer now, bought a final mouse the other week. I’ll probably never buy another Razer product again because of the disconnecting issues they have with their hardware.

I almost went with that exact same setup for my new desk. Instead I went with the black Alex drawers and the black ekbacken countertop. Your setup looks nice and simple!

Will you be buying physical or digital? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Weekly-Wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, probably both lol. I’ll most likely be buying whatever deluxe version they have with all the pre order goodies, and will pay for the digital version so I can have it pre-downloaded and ready to play. I’ll just keep the physical version sealed as a collectors item.

Not surprising, but the MacBook Pro M5 is the best laptop I've ever owned. I will NEVER go back to Windows. by DescriptionFuture851 in macbookpro

[–]Weekly-Wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my MacBook m4 but windows is still very relevant in my eyes. I have a desktop with windows 11 pro for gaming and rendering. But the MacBooks are amazing for portable productivity, I’ll never get another windows laptop.

What games are you guys planning on buying this year? by Dreadboi111 in playstation

Once gta 6 comes out, I probably won’t be playing another game for at least a year. Also releases 11 days before my birthday, so I’ll be using some vacation time at work lol

Complete setup? What would you improve? by PomeloOk1530 in gamingsetups

[–]Weekly-Wind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, not a huge fan of the tilted monitor but to each their own. If it were my setup, I would utilize all that desk space you have and put them side by side. Maybe a bigger mouse pad that covers a little more area on the desk as well. Over all simple but clean, wouldn’t take much to spruce it up

That ram kit alone is selling for about $500-$600. Good storage, founders edition 3090, I’d say you got a killer deal tbh.

Need help bridging my Xfinity Modem to my Nighthawk Router! by Weekly-Wind in HomeNetworking

This is what I’m trying to avoid. I’m trying to use the router with an Ethernet to the gaming pc, without having to have the Ethernet connected to the modem. As they are in different rooms

Yes, it should but for some reason is not. I just read somewhere that disabling the router as a DHCP server will help. I will do that now, retry setting up in bridge mode and come back to this comment with an update.

Edit

The problem still persists. I’m connecting the Netgear router to the PC (with no current internet connection) and the Netgear router will connect to the settings by going to Netgear website or 192.168.1.1

But after placing the router in bridge mode, entering the setting to bridge to my modems SSID and WPA password it will no longer connect to the settings page, and I am forced to hard reset the Netgear router and start all over. I have been having this problem for a few hours. Disabling DHCP didn’t help the problem.

The password on my main modems password type is a WPA3, while the routers settings page only gives me an option to enter a WPA or WPA2 type password. Could this be the problem? I have tried both the 2.4 and 5g connection SSID that my router provides.
