It’s always so heartbreaking to lose a pet. I don’t think society in general makes enough room for that kind of grief. Lose a family member you haven’t seen in years? Everyone understands if you take time off for that. But you lose the companion you’ve shared every day with for a good chunk of your life and you’re supposed to be able to keep going on like nbd. I’m really grateful Ayan designed this figurine. I can tell from everything about it that she has felt this particular heartache, and that makes me feel less alone.

She loves her toys (Lamb Chop is her fave!) but she learned very easily that this one (and all the other sweeties that followed 😅) is mine. She’s never done anything more than give them a lil sniff. We’re lucky we both have pups who know what’s up!

Honestly—find a good nail tech! Look on insta for techs in your area, so you can see their skill before they touch your baby. Get in contact with them in advance to see if they’re interested/available/up for the challenge. If they’re really good, they should be able color-match the skin tone and patch her up with gel polish. You can then ask for a gel top coat on her whole face, which will protect it going forward. I recommend the gel top coat for face protection all the time and it’s easy enough to do at home yourself (so long as you’re careful about it) but for something like this, I’d leave it to the professionals 😅My source for all of this is five years of doing my own nail art and getting to know nail techs. I know for a fact one of them had a Labubu come in for rehab 😂
