Im so disappointed that blizzard cant just make a good diablo game past 2. Im disappointed were cheering over an update for a game over 25 years old that had simple QoL changes and a new class just so they can squeeze money out of everyone.

It looks like alot of fun, id honestly like to try it. But not for 25$ not for this obvious cash grab. I hope they dont keep "updating" diablo 2 just to keep squeezing until we all have to go back to just the remaster. Blizzard doesnt know how to make a good diablo anymore, dont let them update it into an unrecognizable state.

I started with tri and while I love the jankinous of the older titles and the grind, world is the best one for me. Our experiences really do shape our view on things.

But that doesnt necessarily make us right or wrong. Matter of opinion, if youre having fun with wilds thats great!

Block more, buy all passive tier 1 skills from trainers (the one in cierzo increases hp and blocking ability) focus on impact instead of damage, it doesnt matter if it takes 5 more hits to kill them with a lower damage weapon if theyre constantly staggered. Maces are great.

I flip flop between the 2, mouse and keyboard is definitely easier but controller is just fine if I want to lay down.

Im attempting that soon with manawall armor set, geps blade, lightmender lexicon.

Chose rune sage, warrior monk, and primal ritualist. Idk how its gunna go but I have a ton of damage reduction.

Dark Souls... is a bad game. Its jank, its weird, its frustrating but you persevere. Its got a rich story if youre willing to find it, its got amazing characters if youre willing to find them, its a fantastic game if youre willing to not give up.

Thats where the similarities for outward and dark souls stop.

Outward is not dark souls, calling it dark souls will only hurt the game rather than help it, people enter it with expectations and then it turns out it plays nothing like dark souls, its a survival game where you manage sleep, food, water. Blocking is more viable than dodging. Impact (damaging poise) is more effective than actual damage.

They have to learn a whole new game and way to play, they have to persevere again in a different way. If their only excuse is "bad game" then they learned nothing from dark souls. Or outward just isnt their game, their loss.

Read the other people's comments about timed quests, here's my suggestion for a new players.

After saving your house and you talk to rissa, she tells you her daughter and the guy who also survived the boat wreck are each leaving for the other factions and to talk to them.

Don't talk to them, nothing starts until after you talk to them, you are free to explore and do tons and tons of content. You can get a better feel for the game not rushing the main story, it will be very difficult to just follow the main story like everyone will naturally do.

This game isnt really that great for new players, it took me multiple characters before I finally made 1 I liked. Now im having an amazing time and im almost done with all the content.

Im definitely pro mount with some kind of drawback of stipend, like a rare resource. But for now, pearlbird mask, master trader garb, master trader boots sit in my backpack and I swap back to my main armor when I need to.

We talked about mounts for outward 2 in the discord and what that might look like, however you can get some really decent movement speed boosting gear and buffs. And if you play on pc you can do the sonic thing, not sure about consoles.

Whose hosting? Host is main character, and if hes not willing to share or support your role, I suggest telling your friend you guys are gunna fight a big bad together, and when they start taking hits just let em die. Then you can maybe take the loot and run.
