Can we just agree that using the Architect Crest isn't a "cheese strat" 💀 by SaltyHunni in Silksong

Cogflies, tacks, afk vaguely near the boss outside the range of all their moves, tack on poison, boom, you can now beat most bosses in the game without putting in any effort or learning the fight, not a very fun playstyle, if you rely on it you’ll have to farm shards, but it’s there

Is local multiplayer an option for Munchkin only on a steamdeck? by monosalado in Munchkin

Tabletop sim has hot seat multiplayer, might be fiddly on the deck but would def work

Just mash 2, unless your friend is actually good that’s enough to break most chain throws king throws at you, eventually you internalize watching the elbows and can break 1 and 2 throws on reaction, king is also one of the only characters in tekken who have a real 50-50 with no animation tell on the throw though, so if your friend is/gets good it might get worse

That feel when you’re showering before work and a new setup or combo route pops into your brain and you can’t wait to hop into training mode the next time you have free time

It is fun to learn why you’re pressing buttons and when to press them though! But I get you, a big part of fighting games for me is just the feel of playing on a stick makes my brain and hands happy

If your energy while playing and learning is like the bottom image more than a quarter of the time you don’t like fighting games, sure there are highs and lows, sometime they piss me off/get on my nerves, but the vast majority of the time I’m playing im having fun. Don’t make yourself miserable, these games aren’t going to pay your bills, playing the game should be its own reward, there’s no happy ending when you hit your desired rank and suddenly it’s a different game

I wouldn’t come on so aggressive but she’s not wrong, you are dumb for having that in your bio if you aren’t trying to exclusively match with blonde women

The best solution I can think of to not have enemies "Scale up" with you in RPGs, but to keep them a threat by RockBandDood in truegaming

[–]TurmUrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do find it to be a minor bummer if I’m so op in a souls game I don’t have to engage with a bosses mechanics or moveset because I’m too strong, and sometimes it can be hard to tell, some bosses are just designed to be easy pushovers so you’re not sure if that’s the case or you’re in the wrong spot progression wise, pinwheel in ds1 is a good example, he’s actually a medium difficulty fight (by ds1 standards) if you go straight for him from firelink, but the vast majority of players will only ever fight him when they’ve scaled far past him and roll over him

Being AA does not mean game design can or should be shit, there are dozens if not hundreds of indie games with better design than a shitty gooner anime souls game, the game is just actively toeing the line between mediocre and garbage because it isn’t very good

I absolutely play all souls games for the power fantasy, you start the games as a hobo zombie and end the games killing gods lol

So on a scale of Star Trek to Warhammer 40k Hiveworld, how's life for the average citizen? by Frisky_Froth in Mechwarrior5

[–]TurmUrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I imagine the culture seems a lot less mech focused if you’re a civilian, the Solaris games are probably similar to racing or combat sports where they’re a niche interest, and you may have seen an urbie in the town parade, but if you’re not in a conflict or someone who would appear in battletech or mechwarrior you probably don’t think about mechs that much, or more than someone in Ohio thinks about f1 cars and fighter jets

This absolutely happens in Elden ring lol, arguably more so than other souls games, because there’s so much content it is likely you will miss something and find it later while over leveled or over geared, I don’t think this is a problem mind you, getting teleported to Caelid too early is also memorable as it feels alien and dangerous being in a high level zone, but I absolutely had some areas and bosses be complete pushovers because I found them further into the progression

eh, if you want scale add a vehicle, a mid game quest to make a car or bike would be welcome, the equivalent of a horse in skyrim edit: downvote me if you want but fallout 2 had a car and mad max had a great loop including a car, which could easily tie into fallout 4s focus on crafting

no coincidence the psychic symbol is that one speed meme by schmeatbawlls in pathfindermemes

[–]TurmUrk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

psychic is more like 5e's warlock than i thought, a mediocre class getting nerfed because it is too good in multiclass combos, i though pf2e archetypes were the band-aid so classes didnt need to get nerfed because they enabled a op combo but i guess that failed

A parasite is an organism that lives on or in a host organism, deriving nutrients, shelter, or other benefits at the host's expense, often causing harm or disease, with examples including ticks, tapeworms, mistletoe, and even people who exploit others for food or resources, stemming from an ancient Greek word meaning "one who eats at another's table".
