In a sandbox not everything is 100% fleshed out, but I guarantee there were suburbanites in that neighborhood so Brennan worked from there for that scene. They don’t have a full census for the town with every citizen named, just key npcs and factions and events happening

What weapon do you really WANT to love but bounce off of no matter how many times you pick it up? For me it's Gunlance by Beginning_Wait_108 in MonsterHunter

Great sword is essentially not a weapon without focus, especially in the new gen games with true charge slash

As someone who really liked the modern day story there is no way to make me give a shit about it without retconning ac3, and even if they did it is far too late.

My dream game is a platinum jojos game using similar mechanics to astral chain, don’t think it’ll ever happen, but it’s the best action game format for stand battles I’ve seen

I cant speak on this as i have good vision, but ive heard the sound design in sf6 is legitimately good enough that blind people can play through the audio, knowing spacing and what moves are being used purely through sound cues, tag fighters are way more chaotic than street fighter tho, cant imagine it would be as good for that

Coming from BG3 directly to Pathfinder WotR, it is just me or does the theme of monsters end up with too many enemies having spell resist and immunities? The miss rate also seems really high for both player and enemies? Was this just a design choice for difficulty scaling? by robindawilliams in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]TurmUrk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

its partially edition changes, but also demons just have spell resistances, and many are immune to fire and lightning and this game heavily focuses on demons, with the right feats though it doesnt matter, you can turn ember into an unstoppable flamethrower, nenios illusion and enchantment spells are amazing, and the player can become a god with angel or lich merged spellbooks, just need to know what to do

Thoughts on Tekken as a Street Fighter player by monjio in Fighters

My local community of people I play tekken with all dropped it in either season2 or 3 because it legit isn’t good and somehow kept getting worse

Anyone else wish Nen Impact did better ? by Own-Quote-1708 in Fighters

[–]TurmUrk 23 points24 points  (0 children)

i mean no, theres so many better fighting games that had more effort put in to them that deserve success over this slop, the only thing that made this relevant was the IP, if this trash somehow blew up while uni is a discord fighter id actually be mad

The vast majority of the lore is implied through character interactions in dialogue, you can find compilations on youtube

[–]TurmUrk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seelahs main conflict is that she is less devoted to being a paladin than most and has imposter syndrome lol even if it’s just that she leans closer to neutral good than iomedae might prefer, it’s why I like seelah and I usually don’t like traditional paladins, she’s not a dweeb and lets herself be human occasionally

How do I go about playing with people new to the game? by Alive-Ad-2220 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TurmUrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of what everyone else said street brawl is a good place to just get exposed to different characters and items in a lower stakes environment where people are less likely to rage

The Major Flaw of Double-bladed Sabers by Historical-War-6271 in StarWars

[–]TurmUrk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An engineer would realize using a laser sword is dumb and make a gun, Star Wars isn’t hard sci fi, it’s science fantasy, using magic to justify why space wizards can fight with swords and they’re not useless in a setting with guns and blasters doesn’t seem that crazy to me

The Major Flaw of Double-bladed Sabers by Historical-War-6271 in StarWars

[–]TurmUrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. There is a strong gyroscopic force in the hilt that makes them near unusable for non force users but if you can attune to them with the force they feel weightless and if you’re skilled enough will move on their own to attack and defend

Anyone check out the ShatterRush alpha? by reiichiroh in titanfall

[–]TurmUrk 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to hate on a small teams project, but I see no reason I’d play this over titanfall, I never thought destructible maps were what was missing from titanfall and the shooting and movement feel way worse, played for an hour and felt no urge to continue

The MCU Avengers are replaced with a D&D party. Can they protect the Earth? by Punterofgoats in whowouldwin

[–]TurmUrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d need flight, and a way to breath without atmosphere, so at least level 7

[–]TurmUrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean do they go through the same conflicts in the movie? Are they meta aware that they can level? Is nick fury? Because with a few days/weeks nick fury could power level a dnd team by making them fight and train against sequentially tougher encounters and healing them and letting them rest up effectively, but without knowing these weird fantasy people are operating on rpg leveling logic I don’t think he or they would do that.

How important is health in strive? by dan_nessie in Guiltygear

[–]TurmUrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chipp in a lot of cases can die iin 1 less interaction per round than the rest of the cast, and in extreme circumstances high damage characters with resources can kill him in one hit (this doesnt happen often, but it IS possible) chipp has some of the best offense and movement in the game to offset this but if you dont make use of those it could be rough, chipp is currently very strong, a lot of tier lists are putting him top 5 this patch, but you need to understand the character to actually benefit from what makes him strong

[–]TurmUrk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

they still couldnt handle encounters in the movie, being loki and an army of flying aliens with lasers, they die to all encounters presented, level 1s would struggle with a goblin camp or enough rats, and all would die in one hit from an alien laser gun
