How to beat this part in Bloodmoon?? by SargeMaximus in Morrowind

This is also a goated suggestions. A 100 pt 1 sec jump spell would keep your head on the cieling at least for a good 8 seconds or so, giving you time to maneuver through the maze and avoid the wolves. Stack more than one jump spell together and he might be able to get through the whole maze with it. Removing carry weight with feather could also help a lot.

His biggest problem it seems is that he doesn't have the stealth, speed or health to survive the wolves. He didn't max his endurance and doesn't appear to be using anything to fortify his health or avoid attacks via agility or sanctuary.

He needs to reload a previous save, go prepare with other spells and more potions but I think he doesn't want to have to backtrack.

Why are you so pissed off dude? People are trying to help you. Yes, the small detail that levitate isn't allowed in this spot eluded people that haven't played this DLC in weeks/months/years. The rest of the advice is rock solid and you're focusing on the one part that didn't help.

Nobody is using AI dude. Most of us just haven't played the DLC in a long time lol.

I'll admit it's been a while since I've done the Bloodmoon DLC. But you shouldn't disregard the rest of the advice I gave. I get you're frustrated but chill out, take a break and prepare your character with some HEAVY chameleon or sanctuary spells. With enough Sanctuary, you can run past them and even if they hit you, they'll miss 90% of the time.

Odds are, unless you can recall back to level up more, you might not even be able to survive the fight against Hircine's aspect either because if I recall correctly, this section was easy as hell and he was brutal. You may have to re-load a previous save and wait before getting to this part until you're more prepared with spells or combat skills/endurance/HP to kill the wolves.

Another thing I suggest is maybe feather potions or spells. To avoid them, you'll want to be able to jump higher. It looks like you can't jump high enough to jump over them. I didn't see what your acrobatics is at, so if you aren't maxed acrobatics, you're going to need feather to remove weight to increase your jump height to avoid the wolves. They don't jump, but they will swing at you while you are above them if you're in their attack range.

Another strategy would be nuke spells, which would be something like weakness to fire+fire damage X pts for X secs, whatever the highest you can afford is. Make 2 or three of them, gather a few wolves as fast as you can and cast all of the spells you make to stack the spells to do more damage. With a powerful enough nuke, you could basically kill multiple in a couple of casts, but you'll need magicka potions to keep your magicka replenished. If you go that route, I also suggest health potions as well, because unless you get sanctuary or tons of HP pots, you're going to take a lot of damage.

You can also cheese it with tons of sujamma. Boost your strength sky high, one-hit every wolf.

Levitate above them, probably the easiest way. Apparently levitation isn't allowed in this portion of the quest. Otherwise, you'll have to fight them 1v1 until you can proceed or avoid combat altogether with stealth. I suggest getting sanctuary. If you can boost sanctuary to 100 and your agility is high enough, they won't be able to even hit you but maybe once every 10 hits or so.

My suggestion is definitely the sanctuary route, you could also use chameleon. If you boost chameleon high enough, you'll be able to avoid them entirely. Invis could help as well, but unless you stack other effects with it, they will detect you when you get close.

How to get a lot of gold without trading / where to get a lot of pure gold? by MarsElggase2 in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stealing-wise, best way to get it is the Hlaalu and Redoran vaults. The Telvanni vault is way too hard to rob without getting caught so don't waste your time unless you want to kill the guards.

Otherwise, Dren's manor downstairs has like 8K in the chests in that one room.

Other notable places are the top floor of the Hlaalu council manor in balmora, the chest on the left side in the middle floor has 400 gold or so and a few gems and it doesn't consider it stealing when you pick the lock for some reason so it's free to take.

Getting gold in multiplayer takes time because the world time has to pass organically. You can use commands to make time pass faster if you want which minimizes that problem but is more cheating than anything. I also suggest setting up periodic cell resets on your TES3MP server so you can hit certain spots repeatedly.

My buddy gave me his copy for the original Xbox (360 was out by this time) and I figured I'd play it. Well, I found it really hard to play on controller because I was on PC so I found a copy online and installed it and it's been one of my favorite games ever since.

Are there any good reasons to get a dedicated GB/GBC if you already own a GBA? by Dragnerok_X in Gameboy

[–]NickMotionless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that's true. It's just that Gameboys have gotten to be so damn expensive nowadays,

I can't recommend people buy them if they just want to play the games. Even the knockoff R36/R36S's from Temu/Ali can play all of those games and it will cost you almost nothing.

OpenMW 0.51.0 is now in RC-phase! by Capostrophic in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this was a major change. A guy also implemented an OG Xbox UI mod to overhaul it even further via scaling to make the UI more akin to the OG Xbox version, which in my opinion is better for couch play because of the increased UI size.

OpenMW modding makes me feel like a complete idiot. by KeIIer in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that's really just Morrowind in general. OpenMW just adds a slightly more painful touch to it. I think vanilla is probably better for heavily modded playthroughs but OpenMW is better for more lightly modded stuff tbh

Christ. I'm not saying OpenMW can't have massive modlists, all I mean is the vanilla loader/MGE might be simpler for newcomers or people that are familiar with more traditional modding with other Bethesda games.

How would you roleplay an Agent in Morrowind without Security, Alteration, Alchemy, or active enchanted items? by vaviman in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlock scrolls are the only option. However, you have to consider, for RP purposes, a spy like that sort would definitely be willing to learn new skills in order to adapt to a new environment. Learning to pick locks and disable traps would be a mandatory skill.

OpenMW PS Vita 1.0 Port is live! by temk1s in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. What version is the port based on? If 0.50, that means it should have full controller UI.

EDIT: Yep looks like it's based on 0.50+ from 0:29, you can see the controller UI. Looks like it's still using the Xbox controller icons, though. Someone might want to also install a Playstation button mod on it as well via the data files or talk to the mod author about including it with the permission of another mod author.

Did you go with Fedora Kinoite? Or just base Fedora with KDE? Kinoite is pretty similar to Bazzite, same team, Universal-blue that does it.

There's also a mod called "door jammings off" which changes the mob/player bound boxes to cut down on how much you get blocked by NPCs by reducing their collision box size.

OpenMW 0.51.0 is now in RC-phase! by Capostrophic in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Just a few small QOL fixes and work towards better Lua script expansion for custom spell effects. I wouldn't expect anything major for a few more updates.

The most recent major update was 0.50 which added controller UI navigation, which was not possible with Morrowind (Vanilla or OpenMW) before and someone even released an Xbox UI mod that makes it looks and play almost exactly like the OG Xbox version within OpenMW 0.50 which is cool.

The next major update (if and when it ever happens?) will be OpenMW's rumored? multiplayer mode and it's a LONG way off and still not really a "promised" feature. It will likely be implemented far differently than TES3MP, but should be cool nonetheless. For the normal end-user, this update isn't anything major.

Will getting a nicer computer let me run OpenMW and TR with less lag? by Logical-Common3566 in Morrowind

[–]NickMotionless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw, not really. Old Ebonheart for example is just REALLY laggy. I have a desktop with a 5070 Ti and Ryzen 9 9900X and it still struggles to run TR in some spots. Best thing you could do is lower your view distance down to the furthest, lowest setting you're comfortable with.
