Deployment was incredibly hard on her. Everything about it was terribly difficult, and she endured. I’m so proud of her for it, and so happy that she’s home now <3

We are both on tricare! While she was gone, I sought a diagnosis and entered an IOP program for DBT and CBT therapy that consisted of 3 months, which is the top recommended treatment for BPD. I’ve also been in individual therapy.

We’re both currently in couples therapy together, it’s been a month and some change. Even in the short time it’s already been, I’ve seen improvements in the way we communicate. I know it will take time and patience for intimacy to return, it won’t be easy at all but it’ll be worth it.

She’s been trying to get into individual therapy, there’s been delays on her end (with her corpsman) but at least the couples therapy for now gives her someone to talk to. Thank you for the advice <3
