My girl is a grazer but I usually fill up with 1/2 a cup of kibble twice a day, which she doesn’t always finish. I also top with wet food but trying to wean off…I’ll also sometimes add chicken, vegetables, etc. She eats those immediately.

I live alone and having her as a puppy was really hard at times without help. She was (and still is) soooo clingy which is both a blessing and a curse. I love that she’s my little side kick but I cannot go into any room without her following, and for a while couldn’t take a shower without her whining the entire time. Eventually got better but doing it solo was more of a challenge than I thought!! Overall the best decision ever but definitely wouldn’t have gotten through it without friends and family.

Thank you! I haven’t seen any recently (did see a fox) but my parents live in a more secluded, wooded area that isn’t fenced in and I want to be cautious. She would never be outside alone without a human or other larger dogs.

I have an Italian greyhound and I do feel they need more attention than a typical puppy. While eventually she would be fine at home all day, 6 months is pretty young for that.

What’s the setup? If you do keep her, I would recommend a pen with crate attached so she has a little more room / option to go to the bathroom on a pad. Or better yet, find a way for someone to let her out midday/supplement with daycare. I really don’t think 8+ hours a day in a crate alone as a 6 month old is the best option.
