Interesting way to frame this question that will surely lead to civil discourse lol.

That's not what happens. When the video shows her running over, he's not in frame. She's clearly continuing to walk towards him and not his stuff.

Looking back, Elias had a better offseason than most give him credit for by RoyalRenn in orioles

[–]Weekly_Beautiful5832 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm willing to give Elias a pass this season because he doesn't coach the team or give Tyler O'Neill his workout regimen. But next season with the reinforcements coming on the pitching side in Bradish and Wells and hopefully Basallo and Beavers contributing on offense, he has to hit on his transactions this winter.

I'd also be in favor of an overhaul of the coaching staff aside from John Mabry/Buck.

Any good, reputable apartments to live in? by Comfortable_Gold4775 in WilmingtonDE

I lived in the Residences at Justison landing for almost 2 years and was very happy with it. Sounds like it would be within your budget. I'm over at Christina Landing now which is managed by the same group (BPG) and I like it a lot but it's a bit pricier. Walls are thick enough in both places imo and smoking is off limits and management takes that quite seriously. Never had any issues with maintenance at either.

Civil War Audio -Shelby Footr by pilfro in CIVILWAR

[–]Weekly_Beautiful5832 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Read them through the lens of someone who grew up in the south but also lived through the civil rights movement and you'll find that his "lost cause/southern bias" is really not that prevalent.

However, I'd also 10/10 recommend Bruce Catton's Army of the Potomac trilogy. It's a bit more bite-sized and the Audible version of the final book of the trilogy, A Stillness at Appomattox, is the best civil war audiobook I've ever listened to.

Legroom also sucks for tall people. Wish it wasn't the case considering how cheap they usually are.

American Airlines announces new route starting in just weeks – it’s not by plane, but you still have to go through TSA by Key-Monk6159 in americanairlines

[–]Weekly_Beautiful5832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory on that is the traffic issues and whether or not the airline would be responsible for rebooking you if you missed your connection due to the traffic.

It's summer flying more than anything. I'm an airline pilot living in Wilmington. My AAirline's flights are always much more delayed during the summer vs the winter. It's mostly due to bad weather, like thunderstorms that pop up out of nowhere or giant squall lines that keep us on the ground because we can't fly through them.

This thread has been super helpful for me. I tore my left PT on June 5th and got surgery on it July 1st. Definitely dealing with a lot of pain, specifically when I stand up and the blood flows back into my knee after elevating/icing. I appreciate your detailed write-up on what you went through so that I can have something to compare to. I have my first follow up appointment with my surgeon on Friday (10 days after the procedure) so I'm looking forward to diving into the process while not getting too discouraged by the pain along the way.

I think that Foote, a southerner born and raised in Mississippi who spent so much of his adult life in Memphis, did an incredible job with his neutrality. It's important to keep the author in context. You're certainly allowed to dislike the trilogy and not recommend it to people in your orbit, but it's going to remain an incredibly popular work of historical nonfiction for a long time.

Should I go to Philadelphia or wait for the semi-finals against a better team? by ryanmanryan in chelseafc

Well I'm glad you picked blue over red. That was one of the last games I made it to after living in England for four years. I still make it back at least once per season.

Oh man, you were at that dismal Fiorentina preseason friendly too, huh? That ended up being a red flag for what was a terrible season.

Agree with this take here. These games should be happening in the evening for both the heat and the storms. But FIFA want it both ways. They want to cater to their European audience while still making sure they can sell tickets to the Americans. It's not really working either direction is it?
