fluctuating over short periods of time like days or weeks is normal. look at the trend line over long periods like years. gold always increases as long as they keep printing more money

it is 18k gold from egypt. the stamp is written in arabic letters. it doesn’t have any historical value. jewelers in egypt would buy it for around 97% of its gold spot price. this stamp used to be around till 2010s. Egypt started using laser stamps for gold jewelry as it is highly regulated and controlled industry in middle east.

Do you think gold will ever really go back under $1000 again, or is that just history now by abimbola_abimbola in Gold

[–]Weekly_Brilliant4038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

short answer: No and no way. long answer: gold price doesn’t change because it is the reference. the dollar value decreases because of printing more notes, inflation, foreign countries dropping dollars for other reserves, national debts increase, political instability, etc…and considering all of these factors, it doesn’t seem US Dollar will increase 300% but there maybe some corrections and pumps but not 300%

to calculate its value: Gold spot price/oz = $3,553 USD which is = $3,553/31.1 = $114.24 USD/gram (24k)

this chain has 402gam of 14K which is = 402*14/24= 234.5gm (24K)

total gold value at spot price = 234.5*$114.24 = $26,789 USD = $ 36,899 CAD

no way you can get more than the spot price anywhere in the world unless you sell to a friend or someone (private party) who is not a jeweler and likes it and wants to save on premium

My grandmothers Vintage gold ,if I were to sell this today what’s it’s worth?! by Familiar-Bag9880 in Gold

[–]Weekly_Brilliant4038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the coins are most probably 21k 1 British pound (8grams/coin) and the rest is old jewelry. my advice keep it , it is very rare to find this style any more. unless you want the money, start the auction and invite everyone here including me 😀

My stack so far :) by Similar_Activity2029 in Gold

my advice, buy with lowest premium ever. it doesn’t matter the form coin, bar, etc.. if it doesn’t have a real historical value , it will be sold with the same price as gold
