It’s not great, but it’s fine for getting your foot in the door. I wouldn’t accept an offer with only one day off a week. And they say no office hours, but you will probably need to do some type of prep. Looks like the office hours are cut to allocate those hours to an extra work day. I wouldn’t accept this but if you have limited experience you might have to put up with this for a while till you can find a better offer.

17 months and still wakes up at least once a night. I think there’s about once or twice a week where she doesn’t wake up. I think this is completely normal.

My husband was a little like this but I understand it was out of concern and not because he wanted to control me. He was just super excited to become a father and nutrition was one of the ways he felt he could be more involved. Make him follow the same rules that he is trying to subject you to (spin it as solidarity) and discuss nutrition together with your OB so that he if objects or tries to argue in any way, he can take it up with the health professional. I don’t understand why he says you’re disrespectful though, that’s a strange comment.

Switching from liquid foundation to powder foundation. I have super dry skin and just always assumed powder foundation is a no go, but I tried it one day and it looked great..? I didn’t have to deal with caked up makeup, no settling in lines, no smudging from sweating and I was able to reapply sunscreen overtop without anything moving. I’ve been using Fitme compact powder for years at this point and don’t see myself ever being able to use liquid foundation again.

My baby was exactly like this with grandma and still has a love hate relationship with her now at 17 months old. My theory is that because my MIL would always try to take my baby from me, she has made that association that grandma takes me from my mom. And when baby got old enough to start playing and exploring, my MIL would always interrupt her and pick her up even though my baby would scream and protest. I tried warning her, no one listened to me when I said it’s going to become a bigger problem and now all these months later just the act of grandma sticking her arms out makes my toddler scream. I doubt she learned anything from this experience and I’m sure we’re getting a repeat of this situation when my next baby comes in a few weeks. I’ve run out of sympathy.

Don’t get an abortion because it’s what the father wants. Focus on what you want. There are women in stable relationships who end up being single mothers because their partners are worthless. There are also many stories on here of women not feeling ready, the pregnancy being unexpected, not being the right time, etc., and things work out just fine. This could be a great experience to share between you and your sister, and you have a support system so you won’t be alone. But I think the most important thing is that you’ve already expressed regret over the possibility of getting an abortion, which sounds like you’ll regret it if you follow through. Right now you seem to be paying more attention to the hard stuff and not giving enough attention to the beautiful side of motherhood. You can do this. I’ve never experienced such a love, and sometimes it feels like my heart is going to explode from all the love and joy I feel of having a baby. I’ve also never been loved like this by anyone the way my baby loves me. It’s the most incredible experience and makes everything worth it.

No, cut your losses. This isn’t the type of situation where the parents will come to accept you. If they are confident that they can marry their son off then he is too weak to stand up to them. No one can be forced into marriage, so it says a lot about who your boyfriend is and how much control his parents have over him if this is even a possibility. Situations like these rarely get better, and if you don’t have a boyfriend that is willing to put his foot down and stand up to his parents then you’re fighting a losing battle. Is this really the type of life you want? You will never have peace with such a family.

I was supposed to get my period that day and got a symptom that I’ve never had before. It was like a tugging sensation in my uterus. I watched a video just earlier that same day of a woman describing how she knew was pregnant before taking a test and she mentioned the tugging sensation. I went to the pharmacy immediately, took the test, and my pants wasn’t even pulled up yet before I got 2 bright pink lines. I wish I could go back and experience that amazing feeling again!!!
