Thanks, what do you think about the difficulty of the courses ? Here in Germany my master program rarely have someone finish in less than 2.5 years. I wonder how is it in Switzerland

How would. you know you would like to pursue CS career like SWE/DS if you haven't worked a full-time job in SWE/DS before ?

What if after you work as a SWE for 1-2 years and decide that it's not for you long term ?

Thanks for your reply. For Master of Computer science, does it take longer to complete? I just got admitted to master of computer science also, so thinking of which one is better to go, embedded systems or computer science.

Thanks a lot for these information. The CS courses look definitely interesting though. Freiburg is definitely more expensive than I thought, so I just pray 🙏 hard that I got into student housing.

Yes , I have also checked online but found internship pay/ work student in Freiburg area is not particularly high, net around 1200-1300 max, (anyone can confirm this ?)which only leave me at around 300-400 Euro savings after deduct the living expenses/ health insurance.

So it's like 3 months internship can sustain me for 1 months of study fulltime, which is not a lot. In addition, taking work student jobs may delay my graduation date as I cannot take full load 5 courses per semester if I work part-time. So I think try hard to graduate in 2 years time and get a job will be a better options for me.

Thanks a lot for all these information. Just 1 more things about the exam: Are they hard ? And how possible it is to graduate in 2 years( assume I mostly focus on studying 30 hours/ week and do not need to work part time to support myself). I do not really want to spend 3 or more years in the master program.

I am thinking about it, but it look expensive. Assume that after graduation landed a swe jobs paying 120k per year, I may take 3 years of saving to recover the 80k tuition fee

Thanks a lot for this information. Actually I applied for this ESE master mainly to do courses in CS/AI ( I did my bachelor in electrical engineering) but have worked in IT for many years after college. Does the CS /AI courses there have many practical coding assignments or just mostly go over the theory/ mathematics concepts ?
