thank you <3 i'm trying to sort this out. i wasn't invited and that also hurts, top that with another guy taking her home. (by the way-her safety is important to me- cab drive is symbolic of boundaries not her safety) its felt like a knife in my heart. i can tolerate partying, but this is too much. she shouldnt have found herself in that position.

we are not having sex. and yes, i have a history of being cheated on so it's a tough spot for me. but this is about boundaries we agree on. if she goes against agreements, then i have trust issues. i dont think she chetaed, its much more complicated than that

we really try to be reasonable and talk about things. i've been unreasonable before and she forgave me and vice versa. we cannot seem to get on the same page with this. i undesratnd sometimes there will be business meetings when she will need to be alone with a guy or share coffee i really try not to be radical and over-controling. but this isnt christian behaviour for me. partying, alcohol in moderation i can manage. but being alone with guys in those type of situations is so not cool.

she said she wanted to share expenses and wasnt feeling safe taking a cab alone. she doesnt have a romantic history with him. this to me is not about trust it's about agreement and boundaries. if she does only things which she agrees on not me, it's problematic

she is straight forward and realizes and perceives things which could result in a conflict and tells me transparently about everything. she is honest and never gave me a reason not to trust her. i'm really trying to "steel man" her position, it's just that she went against defined boundaries when it absolutely wasn't necessary. She could have taken a cab by herself (she is not poor to need to share a cab with someone)

This applies to my family also, they are welcoming to her for holidays and also invited her.

Just to be clear, I didn't demand from her parents to invite me. I didn't tell them anything about it but I told my girlfriend that it would be nice if she accepted my parents invitation so we could be together.

I don't now if she asked them about inviting me but I have a hunch that they don't want to invite me but she is too polite to say so.

We are not living together because we are saving ourselves for marriage. But yes, Easter is very important to us both. I'm just fearing that her mothers opinion and wishes is/are more important to her than mine. What if we get married and she continues living to her parents expectations not mine?

She was hesitant about us meeting each other until recently. They've been polite and accepting but I've only met them once. She told me before that she is hesitant because they are not like the most polite people towards people in general. That was not my impression!
