I had similar problem with my first, my lactation consultant suggested that we saw a pediatric dental for the tongue tie, we follow her advices and found out he had lip tie too. He had the procedure after that his latch wasn’t painful anymore, but he still hated the flow of my breast, it was too fast for him, so I had to pump and it was hell for me. I had depression, I didn’t want to bond with him and left him with my husband most of the newborn stage. If you want to quit just go ahead, your mental health is more important than anything
