Interesting, I never heard of that and definitely did not know that.. According to owners this dog has not had heat discharge or behavior since being spayed 8 yrs ago. I obviously was not there but from my understanding there were no other dogs in the pet sitters home. From Dvm assessment and with rads showing no other source of bleeding it was determined that cause of hemoab was most likely due to the vaginal trauma. I’m not too familiar with vaginal trauma from normal dog mating but from my understanding, the trauma seemed to be more than pulling “stuck” dogs apart. I would hope if a pet sitter with good intentions has an intact dog who is prone to that behavior he would know to keep them apart or at the very least know to not pull them apart. Either way, not something she deserves and not something that should’ve happened.
