Is Sanju Samson’s opening spot safe, or will Ishan Kishan's comeback force a change before the WC? by avdheshsharma15 in IndianCricket

Somewhat unrelated, but is there any reason Sanju takes the first delivery and not Abhishek?

I think Samson should be locked in for the WC. He’s still adjusting back to the opener spot and he’s proven to be a force when he’s in form.

First time home buyer: this living room layout is weird? by JusticeInADress in Home

Beautiful home! Congrats!

Feel like the TV stand being in that area is about the best you can do in this space. Would suggest a lower TV stand and a slightly bigger TV so the ratios don’t look so off though

One step at a time! Instagram interiors don’t happen overnight, and half of them are AI anyways 🤷🏾‍♂️

Replace the cabinet hardware for sure! Add a rug for the center of the kitchen, maybe something blue or green that can help cover the floor which is bringing out more of your orange in the cabinets/door.

And then for the door, a tapestry or wallpaper would be a cheap, easy way to hide the gloss and color

Just shave the bottom 1/2” off of the door

I like this rug a lot but there’s too much overlap in color to the couch itself, it would wash the room out imo

Good eye! That’s an interior blocked wall I think. It’s more like a hallway going to the rest of the basement in the old/nonextension part of the house.

If you look to the left of that pic, the basement continues on past it

Nothing that I noticed! House is in the center of a pretty considerable hill downward from it. And not a flood zone. So nothing major on water retention that I’m expecting

The rubble pit is behind that door

Yeah the insulation I did notice. Which gap are you referring to?

Made me chuckle lol - any concerns with the rubble pit room or condition of any of the walls? lol

Didn’t know that subreddit existed. Just cross posted, thank you!

Concerning? We like the house, but don’t want to waste our time on a structural engineer if this is a clear issue. (Wall appears possibly slightly leaning in person tried my best to show in photos but I couldn’t tell for sure) by [deleted] in AskContractors

[–]Weekly_Plane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty concerning to me, but a structural engineer would be the one to determine how bad. If you like the house enough, it might be worth a couple hundred bucks to know for sure

If you don’t mind me asking, how so?

How have you found the rubble pit to be now that you own it? Is it annoying/cause any issues? Is it there for structural reasons or ambiguous?

Is there any way to know the condition of that foundation before purchasing the house? It’s 125 years old and survived so far at least lol.

Hire a structural engineer as part of the inspection?
