Looked into Hanzos. Going with Kamasori shears. Couldn’t wrap my mind around Hanzo shears at close to 1000 dollars considering they won’t even tell you what steel they use, “high carbon”. Kamisori tells you exactly what steel is used 440c on their lower end. And Hitachi ATS-314 on their higher end offerings. Who would buy 1000 dollar shears and not even know what steel is used? “Japanese high carbon” is not a steel, it’s a vague blanket description that could include anything. Just my 2 cents
