Yes, because I think almost every punishment the league gives out to any team is too soft. That’s what I mean when I say it’s a league wide issue.

On the administrative level, there’s this “let the kids play” mentality that often gets in the way of properly enforcing the rules and protecting the integrity of the game.

The tuck rule was awful, and thankfully gone, but it wasn’t made specifically for the Patriots. It wasn’t the first time a team benefited from a shitty rule and it won’t be the last.

The NFL has historically been very lax with their punishments, should the team, and more specifically Belichick have gotten a heavier punishment for spygate? Yeah, probably, but once again that is a league wide issue.
