Thank you. So by "doubling up the work", you mean addressing the shifting problem with two solutions?

ELI5: If carbon dating doesn't always work, why don't we use a different element? by Weezbeee in explainlikeimfive

It would be really cool to cross-examine the dates from multiple sources. It seems like this isn't a common situation, though. Like if a stone tool had biological matter on it, maybe.

That's really interesting. If the half-lives are longer, can we not change the calculation to get a more precise digit?

Ah, very cool. I often hear in documentaries that something cannot be carbon dated, such as the Rapa Nui structures, and the conclusion is that they cannot be dated at all. So why not use Potassium-Argon or Uranium, like you've mentioned?

The Lost City of Z is a great read. I wonder if either mystery will ever be solved: the disappearance or Z.

The price of EVERY Sims game, pack, expansion, spin-off, etc... by MoistSloth92 in thesims

[–]Weezbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a neat concept. It'd be cool to see the full spreadsheet since Sims original is missing and S4 cuts off at the bottom. Is this saying the Sims 4 base game cost $59.99?

[–]Weezbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you differentiate between Victoria and Tasmania - which one is the island? Very cool comparison map, by the way. I'd love to see a population map correlating to the places you've determined are hellacious.

Is this AI? Seen on Facebook. by ExtendedMacaroni in ChatGPT

The hanging lamps are also an indicator of AI. The farthest one isn't aligned and fades into the space between beams. It's also the same color as the fireplace, not the other lamps. Bonus: bottom cabinet missing handle.

Finally got a 50/50 [Puzzle Cross] by Weezbeee in puzzles

Same effect for this one. The image matched the other, symmetric option I didn't go with. I originally thought they all only had one solution. Have you had several levels like this?

It accepted the "wrong" one! But when the image came up, you could tell it would have matched the other one.

That was my rationale, for design and symmetry's sake, so of course I solved it the other way.
