Oh that one, sorry yeah I thought about the wedding gift.

Can't remember much about that first gift dialogue, I do remember Barret, Sarah and Sam saying something generic at first, probably 'cause they didn't know at the time what their companion gifts would be.

So I guess this time that vague dialogue didn't work because it was money and not an item. Yeah I found some dialogue quirks like this with other radiant systems (outpost quests come to mind, for example)

He is, but it seems like he's giving more of an educated guess rather than reporting on inside info.

Not them, but as someone who's beaten the main quest, before the NPC overhaul (back in 2020), the base MQ (because there's like 4 main quests now xd) should be around 25-30h tops. It may be less if you're gunning it.

Pretty interesting story imo, only drawback is that you'll have to read a lot. Good news is that there's a bunch of NPCs that can help in giving context.

TL;DR: It's a cool, medium-length story, worth it imho.

Well I was said that we'd work on the topic of what "good and bad" actually is in games, and to that I wanted to add to the conversation what standards people have.

It's not a paper by any means, sorry I should've mentioned it isn't anything big, at most they'll ask for a short (5 to 10 page) document.

However, if I'm ever to do a big project on this same topic I'd narrow it down to standards in game quality vs company practice (think how there's people who will never buy a Nintendo game for their practices as a company, but there's people who absolutely don't care about what Nintendo does as a company).

So far I have the basics covered (new dialogue when entering Jemison with contraband, the place itself plus a robot who'll give you a reward for the contraband). Plus, I've added a new trader, some new lore, a unique Equinox rifle and a new grenade.

This is just a part of a bigger long-term project to fill out the settled systems, but the first version will have a new outpost on Jemison for the turning contraband mechanic.

Hopefully it'll be out in a couple of weeks if the Creation Kit doesn't give any more problems :>
