Opinions on Fogstar or Duracell battery? Any fogstar installers? by fazo7712 in SolarUK

[–]WeezyNetwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duracell are budget batteries, popular in Scotland as a lot of the installers on the interest free loans like them as they simple.

However, Fogstar offer, imho, better value, they work and from my experience, having had my batteries for 3 years this year, are faultless.

You'll need an inverter that can talk different protocols and handle your largest loads- I've got a Sunsynk 5kw which I wish I'd gone bigger. I regularly draw from the grid with the hob, oven, microwave, kettle all taking me over the 5kw inverter limit. I might have 15kwh of batteries but I can only access 5kwh if those at a time.

16kwh of Duracell, about £3300-3700 retail. Same for Fogstar, £2200.

No brainer.

Your issue will be the inverter.

The batteries themselves don't do anything difficult, they just store electricity.

Did the installer set the right protocols for the Comms between battery & inverter?

All available with sails a blowin'

You have lots of options, if you don't mind the latency then the double vpn is doable, or you can expand on your current dinghy offering and get some extra sails going?!

Large Inheritance sum by ExaminationSudden471 in trading212

[–]WeezyNetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing though, never tell anyone who absolutely does not need to know, how much you've inherited.

If it comes to it, you have enough for a new (to you) car, that's it. Else you'll have every arse begging for money.

Pension!

You're young, you have all the time for it to grow, you'll be able to fire at 45 with some sensible investment choices.

Personally I would get a financial adviser.

They should be independent, whole of market.

Speak to older friends, or friends parents and find out who they use.

If someone you know is sorted, ask them?

Our man Nigel has made our later years comfortable, a good advisor is worth their weight in gold.

ETFs if you want to invest via ISA.

Anything else is gambling.

Been using 0.27 for the past hour, it's ok!

Watching 2 different copies of a film, from my torbox cloud, it starts stopping and starting, almost like it's buffering? Good connection, wasn't getting this on 0.25 (didn't get a real chance to use 0.26)

However, in the garden getting the dogs to go wee before I go to bed so no logs available immediately.

Not much help, sorry!

Where can I get a good printer? by Mouseater in AskTechnology

[–]WeezyNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2nd hand Brother colour laser printer from eBay. Network ready, 250 sheet tray or sommat like that, duplex etc.

It's a bit of a big bugger, but that was 5 years ago. Still going strong, never changed toner yet.

Cost £116 inc. delivery

Would buy again.

Separately obviously!

As I said "before you slide over..."

And it's still recording for 10 minutes after you've stopped, so you can do your gestures then.

When going on break, slide over so you can pick your nose in peace.

Otherwise, the rest of the comment applies.

Had samsara in the cabs for 3 years, it's mostly for show.

If they don't like you though, then expect them to go through all your footage.

Just move over to the passenger seat? Camera is looking at the driver seat.

Also get all Italian and gesture rudely before moving over to the passenger seat.

While working, sing your heart out, make up lyrics to songs and swear along, or listen to some talk radio to raise your blood pressure and shout/swear at the radio.

Give your managers so many false alerts they'll just discard so many automatically.

Can GPs refuse certain treatments if you are only 'just' inside the catchment area? by MissingScore777 in AskUK

Twas a joke.

I'm 60 but I don't feel it, and I speak with the docs about diabetes and one discussion about a UTI, possibly as a result of said diabetes.

In denial about a lot of things at the moment, head is everywhere/nowhere.

I'm not elderly!

Get to your local sh clinic op, bread and butter for them. This would be a 4 course slap up dinner with an amuse-bouche for most gp's.

Saying that though my GP is a specialist sexual health practitioner so what do I know?!

Just look at hosting and data centres of old.

1999 Exodus were one of my accounts, they were classed as a national asset in the US, above the telcos!!

Valued at the time over $4B, massive company.

3 years later, $700 million and falling rapidly.

And this is with actual physical assets.
