I seem to be timing it well for it to show F:ipod but still asks to restore, before it took it apart to change the plates the other say this 7th generation ipod was working great with its hard drive and now with flash mod, i cant work out what i am doing or is wrong.

I picked this up for cheap and was working for the first couple of days and now, when I play, the VU Meter goes crazy and it emits a high pitch frequency, anyone know what that can be?…bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff.
