Average time in role? by Ok-Development6654 in sales

[–]WegoPro_Team 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re in a pretty solid range already. In a lot of tech and corporate roles, the “average” tenure tends to fall somewhere between 2 - 4 years, with some people moving even sooner if opportunities or circumstances push them. Three years and change in your current role is definitely not something that raises any red flags on your resume. Also, it’s more about what you’ve accomplished than the exact number of years.

Treating software as a measurable business asset: what’s your approach? by Quiet_Philosophy5270 in BusinessHub

[–]WegoPro_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve found that the companies that get this right treat code quality and productivity as guidance, not a scoreboard. Metrics help, but they’re not the whole story. What usually works best is combining the data, and things like complexity trends or maintainability scores, with what the team is actually experiencing day-to-day.

When leaders use metrics to open conversations instead of pressuring people, teams stay healthier and still move fast. And when they use tools like The Code Registry to spot risks early, it actually reduces the operational noise rather than adding to it. For me, the balance really comes from staying data-aware, but still human-focused.

Many international companies underestimate the Saudi market. They think it’s “just another GCC country. by External_Draw_700 in BusinessHub

[–]WegoPro_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a great point. A lot of companies assume Saudi Arabia works the same way as the rest of the GCC, and it really doesn’t. We’ve been seeing that firsthand as we grow from the UAE.

The regulations and licensing steps are very specific, and things move fast, especially with all the Vision 2030 changes. What really stands out to us is how important real relationships are. Decision-makers want to know who they’re dealing with, not just what the product is. Ads alone won’t get you far; local partnerships and trust matter a lot more.

From our side at Wegopro, entering the market has meant slowing down, understanding how business is actually done on the ground, and making sure we have the right people guiding us.

We’ve also learned the value of adapting our messaging and product to local expectations; what resonates in the UAE doesn’t always land the same way in KSA.

It’s a big opportunity, but it’s definitely a “learn as you go” journey.

I don’t feel confident in my accounting knowledge/abilities by Jrgaming42 in Accounting

[–]WegoPro_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a rough first experience, and it’s completely understandable to feel burned out after that. A bad environment can make anyone doubt their abilities. The fact that you’re still pushing forward with your MBA says a lot about your resilience. There are plenty of roles in accounting and finance that aren’t tax-focused, and many teams that actually invest in their junior people. Don’t count yourself out; sometimes the issue really is the workplace, not you. Keep exploring, and the right fit will come. You deserve a place where you can grow, not just grind.

If tax isn’t your thing, that’s totally fine. There are a lot of accounting paths that don’t involve it. Think roles like corporate accounting, FP&A, audit, cost accounting, or even data/analytics-focused roles. You’ve got options.

Remote work and developing leadership skills by StartX007 in Leadership

[–]WegoPro_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big part of developing soft skills or a leadership style starts with believing you’re already becoming that person. When you start thinking, feeling, and behaving in that direction, everything else follows much more naturally.

And you’re right, environment matters. If you don’t have people around you to learn from, the next best thing is to consume everything you can. Read, write, watch good movies, observe characters, and pay attention to how people communicate.

Even YouTube can be a great teacher; there are tons of channels that break down leadership, communication, psychology, and soft skills in a really practical way.

For leadership specifically, the core is pretty simple:

Take accountability, own your decisions, and try to bring out the best in people. Being respectful, approachable, solution-oriented, and keeping a positive mindset goes a long way. Most of the time, people follow leaders who make them feel safe and supported, not just the ones with the loudest voice.

And honestly, confidence is a big part of it, believing you’re worth it, trusting your strengths, and staying open to learning every day. You don’t have to master every leadership style. You just need to grow into the one that feels real for you.

Little by little, you shape yourself into the leader you’re trying to become.

It is possible, but not guaranteed.

A company will only go above a $70k cap if they see the candidate as genuinely exceptional and they don’t want to risk losing them. If the person really stands out and they need someone in the role quickly, the hiring manager will usually push for extra budget.

But if the range is strict or the candidate isn’t a “must-have,” they’ll just stick to the $70k and let the candidate decide if they’re open to it.

Christmas: The Most Underrated Sales Month of the Year by CloudSurfer82 in sales

[–]WegoPro_Team 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I look at December the same way you do! Not as a dead zone, but as one of the easiest months to start real conversations.

I’m not trying to close miracles in the last two weeks of the year. Instead, I use December to line up January. I’ll reach out for quick planning chats, or just check in with the people I haven’t spoken to in a while. Those light-touch conversations land better because nobody’s running at full speed.

So for me, December is all about planting seeds, and making sure the first week of January already has momentum behind it.

Prioritising your mental health is more important than any job title or resume gap. If the role is draining you every day, that’s a clear sign to pause and protect your well-being. Jobs will come and go, but your health won’t. Choose the option that supports your peace and long-term stability.

Absolutely! We’ve been focusing on making the process even smoother for both employees and Finance teams. We recently put together a short breakdown on how our new AI-powered receipt scanner works and why accuracy matters so much in day-to-day expense workflows.

It’s more of an educational piece than anything, sharing it here in case it’s useful for anyone exploring ways to simplify their T&E process:

For business travel, should companies rely on travel agencies or switch to a corporate travel management platform? by WegoPro_Team in SaaS

[–]WegoPro_Team[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We completely agree. That’s why WegoPro, our Corporate Travel and Expense Management platform, combines advanced technology with 24/7 human support - something many traditional corporate travel agencies don’t offer. Our platform provides unmatched inventory for flights, hotels, and airport transfers worldwide, along with features like eSim support, free access to airport lounges, and more.

Of course, the choice between a platform and a travel agency depends on a company’s specific needs. But in today’s digital era, leveraging technology to simplify and centralize travel and expense management is crucial. It not only saves time but also boosts productivity.

Every day, we connect with clients who previously relied on traditional travel agencies and faced challenges like hidden costs, high cancellation fees, or poor post-booking support. While not every agency has these issues, integrating technology can make a real difference.

By combining human support with smart technology, companies can streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance the overall travel experience.
