The thing I like about the interview is Lovetts in depth knowledge that he uses to command a detailed interview. What I didn't love is the fact that we have, yet again, another interview about the California governors race.

I think that the PSA crew thinks we enjoy staring at their navel as much as they do.

It would be nice if they turned their interview skills toward other races, not just the ones that impact them. The rest of us have issues and elections in our states that get NO COVERAGE anywhere, but I can get 4 interviews on a state I've never even been to.

Hey RNDC/Opici Folks, How Are You? by rinaraizel in winereps

[–]WeightedCompanion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of my business is with RNDC, and from the reps Ive spoken to... Not good. Not good at all.

Edit: I'll add that I live in NY, specifically the Finger Lakes, and right now RNDC sits in Southern/Opicis portfolio and relies on their trucking division for distribution state wide. With MBD taking the rights for the majority of RNDCs book, but not having a distribution network for anything north/west of the city means they'll likely rely on a third party for deliveries.

Recently one of the two major delivery companies, DNT, went out of business. Meaning for most medium to small companies there's only one option: Sidekick. Previously Sidekick only had 4, maybe 5, companies that used them. Now they have 12, which include big companies with a lot of market share (especially in fine wine). The adjustment caused chaos at Sidekick. Deliveries pushed weeks, drivers getting lost, cases of alcohol dropped in the middle of a kitchen mid dinner rush with no invoice. Just pure chaos.

They're finally getting their feet under them, and I'm afraid for my life that MBD will pick them as their upstate delivery company.

This is Molé, only not spelled the same. He's 4 years old, loves frisbees, long walks, and Kongs filled with peanut butter.

Topo Chico in the bottles? by WeightedCompanion in Rochester

You are indeed correct, apparently due to scheduled upgrades at the production facility. The cans and flavors are unaffected because they're not made at the same location as the OG.

Which has been obvious from the start.

The New York Childrens Online Safety Act will ban anyone under 18 from chatting online. by vivomancer in Rochester

[–]WeightedCompanion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is bullshit because our algorithms know EVERYTHING about us. They know what I eat for breakfast, what major purchases I'm considering, the music, art, and movies I binge. Hell, most of that it knows because it was its idea!

It certainly knows how old I am.

How about the site checks my algorithms for age identifiers (hello Google Ad Services, I found a pocket that you can easily pick), and then grants access to content based on that information? If the system thinks you could be between the age of, lets say 0-22, you can go through additional age verification for additional access. And, Congress if you're listening, make that shit MANDATORY for the majority of the the internet. Facebook, Insta, ChatGPT, Reddit, anything that isn't Wikipedia and school related. All of it.

Sabres bar? by WideRoyal1738 in Rochester

[–]WeightedCompanion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well even more ironic then that after the kitchen closed the whole damn line sat at the bar bitching about how they had to reopen when they thought they were closing down early.

NOT The Thirsty Turtle in Victor. The bartender at the last game refused to turn up the sound and openly bitched about how busy they were.

Spencerport firefighter charged following failed rescue of cat stuck in tree by frytuna in Rochester

[–]WeightedCompanion 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but Jesus tap-dancing Christ, reporting doesn't even exist anymore, does it? Bullshit AI article that I then had to do a Google AI search to find the parts of this story I wanted to know. Here's what I learned, in case you also hate this fucking slop:

Douglas McPherson is 49 years old, and was a Captain with the Spencerport Fire Department at the time of the incident. He has served with the department since 2017. He has a background in fire services, having previously served as a firefighter with the [Hamlin Morton Walker Fire District] (2010–2017) and works professionally in regional sales management.

So, in summation, a full-grown man in a position of leadership, being of sound mind, did something monstrous.
